Snoop Dogg Begs Tems For A Collaboration – ‘Let’s Make A F*cking Hit Record, Girl’

Legendary American rapper Snoop Dogg has begged Nigerian singing superstar, Tems, for a chance to appear together on a new record.

Snoop Dogg recorded a video begging Tems to agree to a collaboration so they drop a massive song for the world to enjoy.

The rapper described himself as a huge fan of the Essence hitmaker, adding they must surely work on a song together.

So Tems, when we gon make a record? You know I’m a fan. I had to get that out of the way now let’s get to the sh*t. Let’s make a f*cking hit record, girl. You have my whole family dancing to your sh*t. I need one with you [and] you can post that!,” Snoop said.

“Happy New Year,” he added.

Tems

Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, is a Nigerian singer.

She rose to prominence after she was featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single “Essence,” which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 after the release of a remixed version with an additional feature from Justin Bieber, and earned her a Grammy Award nomination.

Tems was born Temilade Openiyi on the 11th of July 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria. Her mother was Nigerian and her father was half-Nigerian, half British.

Temilade’s family moved to the United Kingdom when she was still a child. Sadly, her parents divorced when she was 5 years old.

Tems started singing in her church choir as a young girl, honing the talent and skills that would later make her a global superstar. Her mother relocated her to Nigeria after her divorce.

She released her first EP (Extended Play) known as For Broken Ears in September 2020. On October 2020, she featured on Wizkid’s Essence from the Made in Lagos album.

Essence debuted at the number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, Tems’ first appearance on the prestigious chart.

She won two Soul Train Music Awards and Two NAACP Image Awards off that, whilst also receiving a Best Global Music Performance Grammy nomination.

The Nigerian singer won the Best International Act award at the 2022 BET awards.

His fame dates back to 1992 when he featured on Dr. Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover”, and then on Dre’s debut solo album, The Chronic.

Broadus has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.

His accolades include an American Music Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and 17 nominations at the Grammy Awards.

On Friday, January 20th 2023, a video surfaced online showing the American rapper Snoop Dogg begging the Nigerian singer Tems for a collaboration.
