Audra Green of Columbus Oh is a 23-year-old American female who survived the harrowing plane crash that occurred in Naples, Florida, earlier this week.
The Naples plane crash occurred when a 68-foot-long Bombardier Challenger 600 with five people on board took off from Ohio State University’s airport at 12:30 p.m. Friday on its way to the Naples Airport.
It was scheduled for a subsequent departure to Fort Lauderdale, said Robin King, director of communication with the Naples Airport Authority.
The plane was operated by Hop-a-Jet Worldwide Charter based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Unfortunately, towards the end of its journey to Naples, the plane suffered engine issues and crash-landed onto Interstate 75 (I-75) near Naples, Florida.
“We’re not going to make the runway, we’ve lost both engines,” the pilot of radioed just before crashing onto the busy Florida highway near Naples on Friday.
In a recording of the final radio communications with the aircraft, the pilot says: “OK, Challenger, Hop-A-Jet 823, lost both engines, emergency. I’m making an emergency landing.”

A preliminary report is due in 30 days.
Hop-a-Jet charter company which owned the plane released a statement saying it had “received confirmed reports of an accident involving one of our leased aircraft near Naples” and that it would dispatch a team to the crash site.
“It was coming in for a landing,” said Robin King, director of communication with the Naples Airport Authority.
“We received word that it had possibly lost an engine, we have not confirmed that, then we lost contact” just before the plane went down.”
Police and emergency responders flooded the scene and state troopers only opened the northbound land four hours after the accident.

She was the serving flight attendant on the plane and luckily survived the impact.
Meanwhile, the principal occupation for Audra Green Columbus Oh is yet to be revealed.
The two fatalities from the crash were identified as follows – Pilot Edward Daniel Murphy, aged 50 and Second in Command (Co-pilot) Ian Frederick Hofmann, aged 65.
Co-pilot Ian Hoffman’s family presented a statement to the press saying: “His last moments, calmly speaking with ATC as he tried to save the passengers and crew in the face of a desperate emergency of losing both engines at low altitude, is how we will always remember him,” the family told Fox 4 in a statement.
“The family is in shock and devastated but want to express our thanks for the heartfelt support we have received,” the family said in a statement to Fox 4.
“We know our father died a hero doing his best to save everyone he could on the plane. We ask for prayers during this difficult time.”
According to reports, the two pilots reported dual engine failure right before the crash and radioed in mayday to air traffic control.
The plane was just one minute away from making an emergency landing at Naples Airport – but the pilots could not make it and attempted landing on the freeway to mixed results.
Meanwhile, the family of Ian Hoffman the co-pilot started a gofundme to raise cash to cover costs of his funeral and beyond.
The page remembered Hoffman as “A loving father and family man who was charismatic and beloved. Survived by his wife Christina, former wife Joan Mathis, and children Grant, Chris, Reed, and Grace.
