Who is Shirley Stanley? Manchester Woman Arrested After Driving 112 MPH With Unbuckled Children in her Car

Shirley Stanley of Manchester NH has been arrested after speeding with her children unbuckled in her car.

Stanley was stopped for speeding by a New Hampshire State Trooper driving over 100 mph and was found with two children aged 1 and 4, unbuckled, inside the SUV.

She’s been charged with reckless operation, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of violating required child passenger restraints, and other charges.

The New Hampshire State Police released the following statement…

On Friday, May 3, 2024, at 9:17 p.m., a State Trooper with the Troop A barracks observed a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV on Route 101 westbound, traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic. At one point, the SUV was observed at 112 mph.

After stopping the driver, the Trooper found two children, ages 1 and 4, inside the SUV. The children were not buckled or secured with any type of child restraint system.

The operator is identified as Shirley Stanley, 23, of Manchester. She is the mother of the two children.

Stanley was arrested and charged with reckless operation, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of violating required child passenger restraints, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, unsafe lane change, following too closely, and speeding. She was processed and released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at 8 a.m. June 10 in Candia District Court.
