Thomas Avery Hillman Jr is an American man who has been arrested for robbing and then assaulting victims at a massage business in Stanton.

Hillman was arrested by police Thursday for the robbery which took place in Stanton in the 12000 block of Beach Boulevard around 3:44pm.

He faces charges of suspicion of robbery, assault with a firearm, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and oral copulation with force/violence.

Who is Thomas Avery Hillman Jr?

A  44-year-old American male from Paramount has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Stanton massage business of $2000 – as well as on suspicion of committing sexual assault.

Thomas Avery Hillman Jr, originally from Placentia, is a resident of Buena Park in California.

He’s a former student of Valencia High School, which he graduated from in 1998.

Hillman appears to have been previously married but got divorced – more on that later.

On Wednesday, November 15th 2023 at 3:44 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of Beach Boulevard (near Chapman Avenue) regarding a robbery involving a handgun., KTLA reports.

Their investigation revealed that a suspect had allegedly stolen $2000 in cash, forced the victims into a private room and held them at gunpoint, and also allegedly forced them to orally copulate him.

Authorities said the suspect had forced victims into a private room inside the parlor and “mandated they orally copulate him while he held them at gunpoint,” 

He reportedly took around $2,000 in cash and fled the premises before deputies could arrive.

Investigators later identified the suspect as Thomas Avery Hillman Jr and located him at his residence.

He surrendered to deputies during a search warrant.

Investigators discoverd additional evidence inside Hillman’s home and vehicle suggesting he may be responsible for more crimes related to other massage parlors.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The suspect has been charged with suspicion of robbery, assault with a firearm, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and oral copulation with force/violence.

The criminal complaint alleges three women were victims of his barbaric actions.

During his arraignment Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana Friday, the suspect did not enter a plea. 

His arraignment was rescheduled for Dec. 5 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.

Hillman has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon in Los Angeles County in September 2010 and August 2017 and in Riverside County in May of 2000, according to court records.

Hillman Jr started a relationship in September 2013 after getting divorced from his first wife, according to Facebook.

Public records show he filed for divorce from a previous partner on September 8th 2011.

“On 09/08/2011 THOMAS AVERY HILLMAN JR filed a Family – Marriage Dissolution/Divorce lawsuit against [witheld].

“This case was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Courts, Compton Courthouse located in Los Angeles, California. The Judges overseeing this case are LOWRY, STEPHEN and GOULD-SALTMAN, DIANNA. The case status is Pending – Other Pending,” an entry from unicourt.com reads.

Hillman’s current relationship status is unknown.
