Nima stabbed Bob Lee in the early hours of April 4th 2023. He fled the crime scene and left Bob to die, which he did a while later.

Khazar Momeni Biography
Khazar Momeni Elyassnia is an American socialite who rose to the limelight after her brother, Nima Momeni, brutally stabbed to death the founder of Cash App, Bob Lee.
Khazar Momeni was born in the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1986 to mother Mahnaz Tayarani, a former florist turned dental hygienist and father Mr Momeni, a ‘handsome dentist with an artistic streak’.
Momeni’s mother, Mahnaz, hails from Mashad in Eastern Iran where she met and married her husband. After getting married just after high school, the new family moved to Tehran.
Khazar has an elder brother, Nima Momeni, who was born in 1985 and is accused of killing Cash App founder Bob Lee.
In 1999 when Khazar was just 13 years old, the Momeni family emigrated from Iran to the United States, landing at San Francisco International Airport fleeing ‘years of violence and abuse’ – according to the SF Standard.
The family sought asylum upon arrival in the States, claiming they were fleeing abuse at the hands of the kid’s father.
“I had no choice but to take my children from Iran. I had endured years of abuse and violence at the hands of my husband,” Khazar’s mother Tayarani wrote in a letter to her childhood friend Soheila. “They too had endured years of abuse and violence.”
In America, the Momeni family settled with Soheila, who had earlier on emigrated to the United States herself, in the East Bay area of San Francisco.
Thus Khazar Momeni and her brother Nima started high school in San Francisco, graduating from Albany High School in Albany, California.
Little is known about their lives from then on until Khazar married prominent San Francisco surgeon, Dino Elyassnia, in 2013 at the age of 27.
Their marriage thrust a new level of spotlight on Khazar as Dino was a bit of a celebrity surgeon.
Prior to the blockbuster murder trial of her brother, Khazar only made the news due to celebrity lifestyle profiles on her and her husband Dino in magazines and posts about her he shared on social media.
In April 2023, Khazar’s brother Nima stabbed her friend and alleged love interest, Bob Lee, to death after an argument they had over her.
Nima was reportedly worried of an illicit affair between Bob and his married sister.
After a late-night bust-up at Khazar’s apartment, Nima offered to drive him home, only to lead him to a dark alley and stab him.
Nima is currently on trial for murder.
Several months after the death of Bob Lee, the Wall Street Journal reported both the late Cash App founder and Khazar Momeni were part of The Lifestyle – San Francisco’s city’s underground party scene were cocaine and swingers were common.
People familiar with the group said Lee and Khazar were sleeping together.

Khazar Momeni Elyassnia is 37 years old. She was born in Tehran, Iran in 1986, a year after her brother Nima Momeni’s birth.

Khazar Momeni is married to San Francisco based plastic surgeon, Dr Dino Elyassnia. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and own a $2 million home in the very expensive Millennium Tower.
Dr Dino Elyassnia was born to a family of Assyrian and Armenian ancestry in Iran. Elyassnia and his family immigrated to the United States during the Iranian Revolution.
He grew up in California and attended the University of Southern California Medical School, where he specialized in cosmetic surgery.
Dr Elyassnia initially considered becoming a heart surgeon but eventually gave up and went with his love for artistry to become a cosmetic surgeon.
He had two uncles who were surgeons and wanted to follow in their footsteps but later “found that he had an artistic side that would not be fully utilized as a vascular surgeon.”
He later joined the Marten Clinic of Plastic Surgery, where he currently works.
Elyassnia is a board-certified plastic surgeon who does cosmetic work in San Francisco.
“Many people go to him for rhinoplasty,” an employee of a Bay Area plastic surgery clinic told The Standard. “He is considered very good, but expensive.”
A receptionist at the Marten Clinic told The Standard that the cost of a nose job starts at $18,000.
On his professional website, Elyassnia described his practice as a “sanctuary for beauty, aesthetic balance and age-defying technology.“
Khazar Momeni and her husband publicly painted a picture of a perfect marriage that might have been far from reality.
In 2020, Elyassnia sang her praises to Haute Living: “She packs bags for the homeless, and she’s taken me shopping for gifts for underprivileged families. She has been my guiding light. And I am so thankful for her.”
He also showered her with praise in an Instagram post reflecting on the first year of the Covid pandemic.
“Spending three months isolated together, around the clock, gave me a whole new perspective on what an amazing human being she is,” Elyassnia wrote. “Not only is she better than me in every way, but she is truly gifted when it comes to understanding the human condition which translates into an unbelievable level of kindness and generosity to others.”
Yet despite all the public razzmatazz, the couple were apparently having issues as Khazar apparently started a romantic entanglement with Bob Lee that may have led to his death.
According to a recent article from the Wall Street Journal, Cash App founder Bob Lee allegedly frequented underground sex and drug parties for San Francisco’s elite with Khazar Momeni in tow.
The two were casually sleeping together during such parties, a source confirmed.
Sources speaking to the Journal said both Lee and Khazar were part of “The Lifestyle,” a scene within the San Francisco tech community that involves recreational drug use and casual sex.
According to court documents, prosecutors said Khazar Momeni was having issues with her husband.
Khazar’s attorneys have denied the rumours.
“There are many rumors circulating around this case, many of them untrue.” they said in a statement to WSJ.
“Ms. Momeni loves and supports her brother,” the statement said. “What happened here is a tragedy, and Ms. Momeni is deeply saddened at the suffering of the Lee family as they deal with their terrible loss.”
Krista Lee, Bob Lee’s wife with whom he was separated, told the Journal that he was not a “party boy” and she had never heard the term “The Lifestyle.”
“He was kind and generous — he saw the good in everybody,” Krista Lee said.
Meanwhile, Gift Kerati, a friend of Lee who said she spent a lot of time with him during the pandemic, told the Journal that Lee had several girlfriends during this period, but “was respectful of them.”

Nima Momeni
Khazar Momeni’s older brother, Nima is a software developer much like Bob Lee, the man he’s accused of murdering.
The two were friends together with Khazar.
Nima was born in Tehran, Iran in 1985 and emigrated to the United States with his mother and sister in 1999.
He reportedly taught himself how to code and found success as a developer. He was also quite generous with the money he made, according to reports.
Just weeks before his arrest, Nima Momeni bought his mother a new BMW.
On the morning of Thursday, April 13th 2023, San Francisco Police arrested one Nima Momeni of Emeryville as the prime suspect in the murder of Bob Lee.
In a press conference, Police Chief Bill Scott said Momeni and Lee were familiar with one another and the attack was not random.
“We can confirm Mr. Lee and Mr. Momeni knew each other,” Scott said.
Police stormed Momeni’s apartment in Emeryville, a 10-minute drive across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco April 13th, a week after Bobe Lee’s April 4 murder.. The arrest took place around 5 a.m. A warrant to search his home and take him into custody was served.
According to TMZ, Momeni and Lee had a bust-up in Momeni’s car whilst driving in San Francisco that precipitated the stabbing.
Reports reveal Nima was unhappy that his sister Khazar, who was married to prominent San Francisco surgeon Dr Dino Elyassnia, may have been having an affair with Bob Lee.
According to the New York Post, on that fateful night, Momeni drove Lee from Millenium Tower, where Khazar lived, to a “dark and secluded area” of San Francisco where he stabbed him through the heart with a kitchen knife.
Momeni brought the knife with him from his home, which police said makes clear the murder was “planned and deliberate.”
Khazar texted Lee around the time of his murder to check in on him.
“Just wanted to make sure your doing ok Cause I know nima came wayyyyyy down hard on you,” she wrote.
“And thank you for being such a class man handling it with class. Love you Selfish pricks.”
Nima Momeni was processed for court and charged with murder on April 14th. His sister Khazar and her husband both attended the first court date. Nima reportedly flashed a heart sign to her from the dock and she responded with the same symbol.
If convicted, Momeni, who has had multiple run-ins with the law previously, faces more than 20 years in prison.
A new theory
Despite the claims of prosecutors, Nima’s defence team insists his sister had no romantic relationship with Bob Lee. They allege a drug dealer, Jeremy Boivin, had given Khazar GHB, which is also known as a date-rape drug -and been inappropriate with her.
The defence claims Nima blew up at Jeremy Boivin and not Bob Lee as authorities claim.
Boivin allegedly gave Khazar Momeni GHB on the afternoon of April 3, San Francisco police homicide inspector Brent Dittmer said in court on Monday, citing witness statements.
That day, Lee, Boivin, Khazar Momeni and several others were partying at her apartment in the Millennium Tower before they went to Boivin’s apartment in South of Market.
After a short while, Lee and a friend left. Khazar Momeni and another woman remained at Boivin’s, where they each took three hits of GHB, according to a woman at the party interviewed by Dittmer.
When the woman awoke, she found Khazar Momeni half-undressed and crying. She then contacted Nima Momeni and Khazar’s husband, Dino Elyassnia, according to Dittmer.
Khazar Momeni was then taken back to her home by her brother and husband.
Hours later, Boivin showed up at Millennium Tower, where Nima Momeni threatened him, Dittmer said.
“I spoke with Mr. Lee’s wife or ex-wife, who told me she had spoken with Jeremy Boivin about what had happened when he was inside the apartment,” Dittmer said. “Mr. Momeni was behaving in a threatening manner and saying, ‘Fuck you. I’ll kill you.'”
Through it all, the family has steadfastly stood by Nima. Khazar, her husband Dino and her and Nima’s mother attend almost every court date and show their love visibly.
Bob Lee was an American angel investor, entrepreneur and start-up advisor. He made his name primarily for being the creator of the popular Cash App.
Bob Lee was born in 1980 in San Francisco, California in the United States of America.
The Cash App was launched when the late Bob Lee was Chief Technological Officer (CTO) at Square.
Cash App (formerly Square Cash) is a mobile payment service available in the United States and the United Kingdom that allows users to transfer money to one another (for a 1.5% fee for immediate transfer) using a mobile phone app.
Bob Lee death timeline
Charging documents released Friday revealed the timeline of Bob Lee’s death and what happened the night of his stabbing.
3:30 p.m. April 3: Bob Lee invites Witness 1 (a friend of his) to an apartment in the 1500 block of Mission Street. Witness arrives and finds Lee, a resident, and a female subject (Khazar Momeni) drinking. Witness 1 reports meeting Khazar Momeni through Lee 3-4 years ago. Witness is unsure if Lee and Khazar are in a relationship, despite fact that Khazar is already married. After some time, Lee tells Witness 1 he’s leaving. Lee talked to Khazar and invited her to go with them, but she did not.
Witness 1 then leaves and goes to Lee’s hotel – 1 Hotel San Francisco. While at the hotel, Witness 1 sees Lee having a conversation with Nima Momeni, Khazar’s older brother. The conversation was about Nima picking up Khazar from the apartment in 1500 block of Mission earlier that day. Nima is questioning Lee about whether Khazar was doing drugs or anything inappropriate. Lee assures Momeni nothing inappropriate happened.
Witness 1 states they then left the hotel and go to Lee’s apartment, where they continue to hang out.
8:31 p.m. April 3: Millennium Tower camera footage shows a late model BMW Z4 arrive at the property. Nima Momeni gets out wearing a white T-shirt and pants, and enters the tower.
12:30 a.m. April 4: Witness 1 states Lee leaves his apartment and Witness 1 never sees him again.
12:39 a.m. April 4: Millennium Tower camera footage shows Lee arrive and enter Millennium Tower wearing all black.
2:03 a.m. April 4: Millennium Tower camera footage shows Nima and Lee take the elevator down to lobby and get inside Nima’s BMW. Nima is wearing a large white and tan jacket and wearing a black beanie.
Other cameras track the BMW, with Nima driving and Lee in passenger seat, to the 400 block of Main Street. The BMW parks in a dark and secluded area south bound on Main Street. The car is parked just out of camera’s frame, but camera can pick up glow of the tail light.
Eventually, two subjects (Lee and Nima) enter the frame. After standing on sidewalk for about 5 minutes, camera catches Nima appear to “suddenly move” towards other subject (Lee). They separate and an injured Lee walks northbound on the west sidewalk, while Nima walks south on the west sidewalk. He stops along a fence line in the immediate area where the knife was recovered. The BMW is then seen taking off at a high rate of speed.
2:35 a.m. April 4: SFPD respond to 365 Main Street for report of a stabbing. Victim found in street bleeding from multiple stab wounds. The victim is rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police find blood spatter on both sides of the sidewalk on the 400 block of Main Street and find a 4-inch kitchen knife in a parking lot with blood on it.
That morning, Witness 1 calls Khazar to ask if Lee had gone to her apartment at the Millennium Tower after Lee left his apartment. Khazar tells Witness 1 that Lee came to the apartment “for a second” but she fell asleep and didn’t know when he left.
April 11: Officers are able to unlock both of Lee’s phones with help from his family. Call log indicates a FaceTime call between “Nima via Khazar” and Lee. Lee’s phone also shows a text message from Khazar saying: “Just wanted to make sure your doing ok Cause I know nima came wayyyyy down hard on you And thank you for being such a classy man handling it with class Love you selfish pricks.”
