Who is Ibrahim Kassem Tinley Park?

Ibrahim Kassem Tinley Park has been fingered as the owner, though not necessarily the current resident, of 7430 173rd place in Tinley Park where the shocking shooting of a man in the Illinois suburb killing his wife and three kids took place.

The deceased have been identified as Majeda Kassem, 53, Halema Kassem, 25, Zahia Kassem, 25, and Hanan Kassem, 24.

Several news reports have revealed that a man was arrested for fatally shooting and killing his family.

According to reports, there was a domestic dispute during which he shot and killed his wife and his three daughters! Incredible!!

Police were called to a home in the 7400 block of 173rd Street in Tinley Park, Illinois, around 11:30 a.m Sunday, January 21st.

When they arrived, they found four women dead inside the home, all from apparent gunshot wounds.

They were identified as three daughters and a mother.

Authorities arrested the killer, the father of the family.

A weapon was also recovered.

Whilst authorities did not name the suspect, online search records show the owner of the address as Ibrahim Kassem Tinley Park.

Ibrahim Kassem Tinley Park is listed as a former occupant of 7430 173rd Pl, Tinley Park, IL.

The address is a Single Family, Attached Garage, 2 spaces.

Three bedrooms, One bathroom – indicating it housed a medium sized family of husband, wife and kids.

There is a phone number connected with the property but we’re not posting that at the moment.

There is no indication of the occupation of Ibrahim Kassem Tinley Park, however his age of 38 appears to be a bit too young to be the man involved.

Other places Ibrahim Kassem has lived include Chicago and Orlando Park in Illinois and Bedford, New Hampshire.

Clustrmaps.com list the rent for the property as $1730 a month.

However, another name linked with the property is Maher Kassem, obviously related to Ibrahim but with their relationship not clarified.

It’s more likely that Maher Kassem is the current occupant and perhaps the perp, although that can’t be confirmed until the police name the suspect.

Other Kassem names linked to the property include Majeda Kassem and Yamna Kassem.

Ibrahim Kassem Tinley park shooting at 7430 173rd place

One person was arrested and four women were dead following a shooting during an apparent domestic incident in suburban Tinley Park, officials said.

According to Tinley Park Village Manager Pat Carr, the shooting was reported at around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the 7400 block of 173rd Place. 

A man had called police and said that someone inside the residence had been shot.

At least four women were shot in the incident, and all were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. 

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office was processing the scene as of late Sunday afternoon.

The medical examiner identified the women as Majeda Kassem, 53, Halema Kassem, 25, Zahia Kassem, 25, and Hanan Kassem, 24.

Online sleuthing identified Ibrahim Kassem of Tinley Park as a former resident of the 7400 block of 173rd place.

Police arrested a man and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tinley Park police station but it’s not clear it was Ibrahim Kassem.

Police did recover a weapon at the residence.

“This was isolated to the home,” Carr said. “The scene is secure. There is only one suspect at this time.”

During a Sunday afternoon press conference, Tinley Park Police Chief Tom Tilton said there is no threat to the public.

The news was disturbing for those who live nearby and know the family involved.

“My daughter knows them,” resident Charlotte Vaitkus said. “She went to school with the oldest son, and she employed the twin sisters. She always talked about how they were all very intelligent, and they had very high goals goals in life.”

Charges against the suspect are still pending. 

The victims were reported to be his wife and three daughters.

Tinley Park

Tinley Park where Ibrahim Kassem used to live (formerly Bremen) is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, with a small portion in Will County. The village is a suburb of Chicago. Per the 2020 census, the population was 55,971.

It is one of the fastest growing suburbs southwest of Chicago. In 2009 BusinessWeek named Tinley as the best place in America to raise a family.

Settlement of the area which now comprises Tinley Park began in the 1820s by emigrants from the Eastern United States. German settlers became predominant in area by the 1840s, and the village was established in 1853. 

The Village was called Bremen at the time. Irish, English, Scottish, Canadian, and other American settlers were also common in the area.

In the late 19th century, railroads expanded rapidly, and the village happened to be located on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad line. 

The influence of the railroad on Bremen was so great that, in 1890, its name was changed to Tinley Park in honor of the village’s first railroad station agent, Samuel Tinley, Sr. Even the village’s official incorporation took place at the train depot on June 27, 1892.

According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Tinley Park has a total area of 16.13 square miles (41.78 km2), of which 16.12 square miles (41.75 km2) (or 99.93%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) (or 0.07%) is water.

It is bordered by Oak Forest to the northeast, Orland Park to the northwest, Orland Hills and Mokena to the west, Country Club Hills to the east. Matteson to the southeast, Frankfort to the southwest and Frankfort Square to the south.

As of the 2020 census there were 55,971 people, 21,871 households, and 14,760 families residing in the village.  The racial makeup of the village was 80.56% White, 6.41% African American, 0.14% Native American, 4.21% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 2.31% from other races, and 6.36% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.39% of the population.

A similar incident to the Tinley park incident involved Rakesh Kamel, a Indian-American man who shot and killed his wife and kids.

Rakesh, known as Rick killed his wife Teena and daughter Arianna.

Teena Kamal was a Havard-educated Indian-American woman who together with her husband, Rakesh Kamel, also Indian-American and their daughter, died a tragic death at their Dover Ma mansion.

The married couple and their daughter were found dead at their luxury mansion in Massachusetts in what police are describing as ‘a deadly incident of domestic violence’.

A relative who hadn’t heard from them in a while visited them and called the cops who found the grisly scene.

Teena Kamal was a high-powered executive from India who graduated from Delhi University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature.

Teena Kamal attended Delhi University between 1987 and 1992.

She then joined Harvard University from 1993-1994, studying Business Management and Marketing and graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

It’s not clear when Teena Kamal Dover Ma married Rakesh Kamal.

However, they welcomed a daughter together, Arianna Kamal, 18 years ago.

The three lived together at their $6.7 million, 27-room mansion at 8 Wilson’s Way in Dover, Massachusetts.

Teena Kamal Dover Ma had a daughter, Arianna, who was also killed in the tragic incident.

Arianna Kamal Dover Ma was a stunning student who won several awards and held numerous positions during her short time in school.

She won the Silver Key honor issued by Scholastic Art and Writing awards in February 2022.

She was also issued a qualifier by the National Merit Society in October 2021.
