She also pursued acting and landed her first role in the 1995 horror film Jack-O, where she played Julie Miller.

She then moved to Los Angeles to further her career and got guest-starring roles on popular TV shows such as Spin City (2000) and That ’70s Show (2001).

They started dating soon after and became one of the most prominent celebrity couples in the church.

However, their relationship was not as happy as it seemed.

Carnell-Bixler later claimed that Masterson raped her multiple times during their relationship, often after drugging her or making her drink alcohol.

She said that she was afraid to report him to the authorities or to the church because she feared being labeled a “suppressive person” or an enemy of Scientology

Chrissie Carnell Bixler was a Scientologist for 20 years, since she was a teenager.

She was raised in a family that was deeply involved with the church and it was the only community she knew until she was raped by Masterson.

Atter being abused by Masterson, Chrissie Carnell Bixler said that she tried to report the abuse to church officials, but they dismissed her allegations and told her that it was her fault for being unfaithful to him.

They also pressured her to undergo auditing sessions, which are a form of counseling in Scientology that involve using an electronic device called an E-meter to measure one’s mental state.

Carnell Bixler said that these sessions were traumatic and invasive and that they made her feel like she had no control over her own life.

She decided to leave Scientology in 2016 after watching Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, a documentary series that exposed the abuses and scandals of the church.

She said that she realized that she was not alone and that there were other victims of Masterson and Scientology who were brave enough to speak out.

Bixler also said that she wanted to protect her children from the harmful influence of the church.

However, leaving Scientology came at a high cost for her.

She said that she was declared a “suppressive person” by the church and that she lost contact with every person she had known or loved, including her mother.

Bixler also said that she suffered from PTSD, anxiety, panic disorder, migraines, and severe pain as a result of the trauma she endured.

Chrissie Bixler That 70s Show

Chrissie Bixler That 70s Show

Chrissie Carnell Bixler appeared on the That 70s Show alongside Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Topher Grace and many others.

Chrissie Bixler appeared in one episode of the show, titled “Eric’s Naughty No-No”, which was the 16th episode of the fourth season.

Coincidentally (or not), she played Chrissy, a girl who flirted with Eric Forman (the character played by Topher Grace) at a disco.

Aside that, Chrissie is also known for being the ex-girlfriend of Danny Masterson, who played Steven Hyde on That ’70s Show. Their relationship ended sourly when she accused him of raping her in 2001, at a time when they were both members of the Church of Scientology.

She later left the church and became one of the most vocal critics of Masterson and Scientology.

After Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for two rapes, it emerged that Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis, who both starred on That 70s show where Chrissie Bixler had also acted – had written ‘character’ letters to the judge in the case espousing Danny’s virtues and pleading for a lighter sentence.

After receiving heavy backlash, both Kuns and Kutcher came out to apologise for their letters.

However, Chrissie Bixler was not amused and called both Ashton Kutcher and his wife out publicly.

She wrote: “Dear Ashton, I know the secrets your “role model” keeps for you. Ones that would end you. Did you forget I was there? You were on speaker phone that night you called Danny on February 21, 2001. I heard everything. I heard the plan. In my opinion, you’re just as sick as your “mentor.”

“Dear Mila, I pray you begin to process what you experienced as a child on that set. Your old interviews are very telling. I encourage everyone to watch them and decide for yourself what you hear and see. Do so before they get scrubbed from the internet) I also know what happened in Toronto and after.

“Question, if that’s what you view as a normal relationship with a “big brother figure” then I feel very sad for you, and I hope you consider getting into therapy. You all must forget I was there the whole time those first 5 years of That 70’s Show. I remember everything.” Bixler wrote.

Topher Grace

Topher Grace, who Chrissie Bixler appeared alongside on That 70s show, played the role of Eric Forman, the main character of the sitcom.

He was a witty and nerdy teenager who often got into trouble with his friends and family.

He was also the boyfriend of Donna Pinciotti (played by Laura Prepon), his next-door neighbor and love interest.

Toper Grace played the role regularly until the show’s 7th season, when he left to pursue a movie career, returning for a brief guest appearance in the final episode.

Grace is currently starring as Tom Hayworth in the ABC comedy series Home Economics.

Born Christopher John Grace on July 12th, 1978, Topher Grace is an American actor known for portraying Eric Forman in the Fox sitcoms That ’70s Show and That ’90s Show.

He also portrayed Eddie Brock / Venom in Sam Raimi’s film Spider-Man 3, Pete Monash in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Carter Duryea in In Good Company, Edwin in Predators, Getty in Interstellar, Adrian Yates in American Ultra, and David Duke in Spike Lee’s film BlacKkKlansman.

Danny Masterson Victims

Chrissie Carnell-Bixler was one of the four women who accused Danny Masterson of rape in 2017, after the #MeToo movement encouraged survivors of sexual assault to come forward with their stories.

The other Danny Masterson accusers aside from Chrissie Carnell Bixler were…

Jen B.: She alleged that Masterson raped her in April 2003 at his home after he gave her a drink that made her feel sick and dizzy.

She said that she woke up to find him on top of her and that he choked her and hit her when she resisted.

She was identified as Victim A in the criminal complaint.

N. Trout: She alleged that Masterson raped her in late 2003 or early 2004 at his home after he invited her to a party.

She said that he carried her to his bedroom and raped her while she was unconscious.

She was identified as Victim C in the criminal complaint.

Bobette Riales: She alleged that Masterson raped her repeatedly when they dated in 2002 and 2003.

She said that he often drugged her or made her drink alcohol before raping her.

Riales was not part of the criminal case, but she joined the civil lawsuit against Masterson and Scientology.

Chrissie Carnell Bixler was identified as Victim B in the criminal complaint filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in June 2020, which charged Masterson with three counts of rape by force or fear.

She alleged that Masterson raped her in November 2001 at his Hollywood Hills home after making her drink a cocktail that made her lose consciousness.

Bixler said that she woke up to find him on top of her and that she tried to fight him off, but he choked her and hit her until she passed out again.

She also joined the three other Danny Masterson victims in filing a civil lawsuit against Masterson and Scientology in August 2019, accusing them of stalking, harassment, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

She said that she wanted to hold them accountable for their actions and to expose their cover-up of Masterson’s crimes.

Carnell Bixler also said that she wanted to help other victims of sexual assault and to prevent Masterson from hurting anyone else.

Chrissie Carnell-Bixler and the other women who sued Masterson and Scientology said that they faced a campaign of intimidation and retaliation from the church and its members after they came forward with their allegations.

They said that they were followed by private investigators, surveilled by cameras, harassed by phone calls and emails, slandered online and in public, and threatened with violence.

They also said that their pets were killed or injured by unknown assailants who they believed were sent by Scientology.

Trial

Danny Masterson

Chrissie Carnell Bixler testified against Danny Masterson in a preliminary hearing in May 2021, where she faced cross-examination from his defense attorneys who tried to discredit her testimony and question her credibility.

She said that she was nervous but determined to tell the truth and to confront Masterson for what he did to her.

She also said that she hoped that her testimony would help the judge decide to send Masterson to trial.

On September 7, 2021, Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women. The jury was split 8-4 in favour of guilty on the charge of the Carnell Bixler rape.

He was also denied a new trial by Judge Charlaine Olmedo, who said that there was sufficient evidence to support the jury’s verdicts.

Chrissie Carnell Bixler gave an impact statement in court, where she expressed her disappointment that Masterson was not convicted on all counts, but also her gratitude to the jury for their service.

She said that she was devastated that he had dodged criminal accountability for his heinous conduct against her, but also determined to secure justice in civil court, where she and her co-plaintiffs would shine a light on how Scientology and other conspirators enabled and sought to cover up Masterson’s monstrous behavior.
