Misael Maldonado, 21, has been identified as the suspect who shot at four people on Seabreeze Boulevard early Saturday morning.
Maldonado was charged with four counts of attempted murder and possession of a controlled substance, according to Daytona Beach Police.
The victims were transported to Halifax Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were called to a “physical altercation” in the Seabreeze Avenue entertainment district near the 600 block of North Grandview Avenue at around 2 a.m. Saturday.
They saw Maldonado “brandish” a handgun and fire multiple rounds.
Officers immediately pursued Maldonado, who fled on foot and dropped his firearm as he ran.
Maldonado was arrestedaf ter a brief pursuit, and authorities discovered fentanyl on him when he was searched.
