Her mother was Nigerian and her father was half-Nigerian, half British.

Temilade’s family moved to the United Kingdom when she was still a child.

Tems started singing in her church choir as a young girl, honing the talent and skills that would later make her a global superstar.

Her mother relocated her to Nigeria after her divorce.

She was raised in Illupeju, later moving to Lekki and Ajah after that.
