Wizkid Essence Song Deserved to Win Grammy Song of the Year – Nicki Minaj Says

In related news, American rappers Nicki Minaj and Joe Budden both endorsed Wizkid‘s Essence song to win ‘song of the year’ at the Grammy awards.

The two said in an interview that the song deserves the award but might not get it due to coming from a black man.

The two were speaking about the lack of representation Africans have on the board of the Grammys.

“We need people on the Grammy board who know that Essence was song of the year,” Joe Budden said.

Nicki Minaj replied: “Right..you want to know what’s so funny, we should have our own Grammy board,”
