Who were Deonte Ivory and Michael Anderson? Two Omaha Men Found Dead in Council Bluffs, Iowa

Deonte Ivory, 36, and Michael Anderson, 25, are two Omaha men found dead in Council Bluffs, Iowa, triggering a police investigation.

Council Bluffs Police found the bodies hours apart Sunday morning.

CBPD first received a call around 12:15 a.m. in the 2100 block of South 29th Street.

Officers and medics arrived to find Deonte Ivory, 36, of Omaha, deceased in the middle of the street. An autopsy is expected to be performed early this week.

The second call came in just after 7 a.m. at the entrance of the Western Trails Historic Center on South 24th Street.

Someone walking their dog found Michael Anderson, 25, of Omaha, deceased on the ground. An autopsy will also be performed on Anderson’s body this week.

The circumstances of both deaths are still being investigated. Police say it’s not yet clear if the incidents are related.

However, posts on Facebook indicate the two men knew each other. A video shared by an acquaintance said Anderson and Ivory were together prior to the shooting.

“Bull and Mike were together yesterday! Who is the 3rd person,” Shameka Penn wrote in her post.

The video shows on person brandishing a gun, although it’s not clear who.

Facebook also confirms Deonte was married to Valencia Ivory. Valencia has been mourning her man since his death, writing in one post: “You promised you’d never leave me and we’d go together, but you left me, baby. I’ll always love you; you’re my everything and more. I’m not sure how to live without you, and I need you. I’m waiting for you to walk through that door, please. Our 5 year anniversary coming up baby and I’ll be spending it alone whyyyyy,”
