Who is Sebastin O’Brien? 22-year-old Arrested and Charged for Harris County Homicide

Sebastin O’Brien, 22, has been arrested and charged for murder in Harris County, Iowa.

O’Brien was arrested after deputies responded to the scene of a rollover crash Sunday and discovered he was in a stolen vehicle.

Authorities went to the registered address of the vehicle’s owner and discovered him deceased.

It all began around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when deputies responded to a rollover crash south of Mondale.

At the scene, deputies talked to the driver, identified as Sebastian O’Brien, who became combative with deputies, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said.

O’Brien, from Little Sioux, Iowa, was placed into custody after a short struggle, authorities said.

Investigators said that the vehicle did not belong to O’Brien, and deputies went to the residence of the vehicle’s registered owner.

At the residence, deputies found the owner of the vehicle dead inside the home, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said. Their name is being withheld, pending notification of the family.

Authorities said an autopsy will be performed this week.

O’Brien faces charges of first-degree murder, and additional charges are pending, investigators said. He was held without bond in a court appearance on Monday.

The 22-year-old is scheduled to appear in court on May 1.

The incident is still under investigation.
