Rapper AKA’s daughter was spotted shedding uncontrollable tears during his memorial in a video that has gone viral and saddened netizens.

A memorial service in tribute to late South African rapper AKA was held Friday, February 17th 2023 with the enduring image being a video of his daughter in tears.

AKA’s daughter was videod during the ceremony shedding bitter tears at the thought of the father she had lost.

With South Africa still reeling in shock after the death of rapper AKA in Durban, his memorial service was held on Friday at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The Megacy, rapper AKA’s fans, turned out in their droves to pay their last respects to the man fondly known as Supermega, among other monikers.

Tributes poured in from many including his parents, fellow rapper JR, Sim Dope, Yanga Chief, Sjava (Ikhandlela), Sizwe Dhlomo and many others.

According to his mother Lynn Forbes, The Megacy (his fans) meant the world to him. She added her son, who she said was self-driven, would have wanted them all to stick together.

My heart was shattered into pieces a week ago, Lynn Forbes said.

Amidst all that, the enduring image has been a video of his daughter, Kairo Owethu Forbes, crying uncontrollably over losing her father.

The image is heartbreaking and demoralising, putting into perspective the huge tragedy of AKA’s death.

Slain South African Rapper AKA memorial came off on Friday, February 17th 2023 at Sandton Convention Centre, Johanessburg.

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (born 28 January 1988) known professionally as AKA, was a South African rapper. He died on February 10th 2023 after being shot in Durban.

Forbes was shot in the head at point-blank range by an unidentified assassin who also managed to murder his friend and former manager, Tibz.

Kairo Owethu Forbes is Rapper AKA’s daughter.

She was born on 8th July 2015, making her 7 years old.

AKA rapper began dating producer DJ Zinhle at the end of 2014. After he won several South African Hip Hop Awards accolades, Zinhle hinted at their relationship by tweeting “Congratulations to my winner”.

The couple have a daughter named Kairo Olwethu Forbes, born on 8 July 2015.

In August 2015, AKA and Zinhle’s relationship hit the rocks after it was revealed that he had allegedly cheated on her with television presenter Bonang Matheba.
