Who is Kevin Kosza? Suspect Arrested in Peru, NY Homicide

Kevin Kosza of Peru, NY, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the death of a woman found murdered in her home on Wednesday.

Kosza was arrested and was arraigned Thursday morning and pleaded not guilty to all charges including criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Troopers responded to a home on Jenkins Street for a welfare check Wednesday, April 16th and found a deceased female inside.

State Police found her body when they went to the home to conduct a welfare check at about 2 p.m.

“This incident does not appear to be a random act of violence and there is no ongoing threat to the community,” police said.

State Police ask anyone who lives on Jenkins Street or the surrounding area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 518-563-3761.

The identity of the woman victim has yet to be released.

Kosza is being held at the Clinton County Jail until his next court appearance on April 23.
