Who was Kendrell Laws? 33-Year-Old Shot and Killed In Front of His Barber Shop in Pine Bluff

Kendrell Laws, 33, was shot and killed in front of his barber shop in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on Thursday, April 11th, 2024.

On April 11, 2024, just before noon, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a reported shooting at 3104 S. Catalpa.

On arrival, the officers located 35-year-old Kendrell Laws lying in the parking lot near this address.

Laws had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center by EASi ambulance where he succumbed to his wound shortly after arrival and was pronounced dead at Jefferson Regional Medical Cente (JRMC).

In a post on Facebook, Laws was eulogized by his Grandma Ala Flenory, who revealed he owned a barber shop.

“Oh Lord my heart is heavy laden, my grandson Kendrell (Ken) Laws was shot and killed in his Barber shop in Pine Bluff. Keep his family, his children, father and mother in your prayers! My heart is heavy laden!” she wrote.

According to his social media pages, Laws was the owner of the Triple Faded Barbershop.

The Pine Bluff Police Department said Thursday it is still in the early stages of the investigation.

There is no suspect information at this time, according to a release from the Department
