Who is Devan Chick? NH School Employee Charged with Possession of Child S*x Abuse Images

Devan Chick, 37, a Newmarket School District employee has been arrested and charged with possession of child s*xual abuse images.

On April 10, 2024, the Newmarket Police Department received information relative to an incident of Possession of Child S*xual Abuse Images that reportedly occurred within the Town of Newmarket.

Through Collaboration with many partners, Newmarket PD identified a suspect – Devan E. Chick.

Chick was taken into custody Friday and charged with 5 class “A” felonies counts of possession of “Child S*xual Abuse Images,”.

He was released on $2,500 cash bail and will be arraigned on June 20, 2024 at the Brentwood District Court.

The case remains under investigation.

Newmarket School Superintendent Todd Allen said in an email to parents, staff and members of the community on Friday that Chick has been on administrative leave since April 10, when police first notified the school district of its investigation.

“As I have emphasized throughout this process, there still is no evidence that these charges are connected in any way to any students, staff, or Newmarket residents other than Mr. Chick,” Allen said.
