Who was Brandon Touchet? Lafayette Man and Two Friends Killed by Chad Credeur

Chad Credeur of Lafayette, Louisiana was arrested for a triple homicide that killed Brandon Touchet and two others.

Credeur’s girlfriend, Cammie Steede, believed to be his accomplice, remains on the run.

Touchet’s family had been searching for him on social media after he went missing and before police confirmed the identities of three people killed in a triple homicide.

“He has not been heard from since 8:30 Wednesday night,” a family member said in a viral post.

Lafayette Police received a call just before 5:30 p.m. Friday requesting a welfare check in the 700 block of South College Road.

When officers got to the residence, they discovered three bodies – all shot and killed.

LPD on Saturday identified two of the victims as 45-year-old Brandon Touchet and 49-year-old Eric Green, both of Lafayette.

The third victim has yet to be formally identified but posts on social media identified her as Touchet’s neighbor Beth.

Police arrested 42-year-old Chad Credeur of Duson in connection with the homicides.

He was arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder, according to Lafayette police and is currently being held in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on unrelated charges.

Cammie Steede, identified as Credeur’s girlfriend, remains on the lam.

A dog belonging to Brandon also went missing from his apartment, according to posts on social media.

The Touchet family acknowledged Brandon’s passing, sharing a touching message Saturday: “Our son, Brandon Touchet, was one of the victims of the triple homicide in Lafayette yesterday. Our hearts are broken,” the message began.

“Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers and remember Brandon as the kind & loving son/brother/uncle/friend he was,” it concluded.
