Regina Phillips was a Duncanville, Texas woman who was found shot in the head in an apartment on Oriole Boulevard Monday.
Fire crews were called to the apartment around 6 a.m. where they found a woman who had been shot in the head. She was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
Duncanville police were called out to the same apartment on a domestic disturbance call one day before Phillips was found dead.
Officers arrested a person of interest in the case on unrelated charges.
According to her family, Regina spent 19 years working at CPS and recently started a new job with the state.
She loved her family and her heels, they said and described her as the life of the party.
Family members also said the arrested person of interest was likely a man she was recently dating.
