Rudy Farias Wiki – Missing Man Found After 8 Years

missing man found after 8 years

Rudy Farias is an American man infamously described as the missing man found after 8 years due to disappearing in 2015.

Rudolph Rudy Farias IV was born to Rudolph Farias III and Janie Santana.

His father, the elder Rudolph Farias was a Houston PD officer who committed suicide in 2014. He and Rudy’s mom were separated with his obituary listing Romi Marie Farias as his wife of 17 years.

Rudy Farias disappeared in 2015 and has apparently been missing since, but according to investigators, he was actually home with his home.

The Rudy Farias news conference held by a Houston activist revealed disturbing details about the missing teen now turned man being molested by his mother.

Ruby Farias aunt has also come out to speak against his mother for kidnapping and molesting the boy.

The missing man found after 8 years, Rudy Farias’ mother hid her now-25-year-old son at home and repeatedly lied to police before he was miraculously “found” last week.

Rudy Farias mother Janie Santana referred to her son, Rudy Farias, as her “nephew” if they were spotted publicly.

In the eight years since Farias was said to have disappeared while walking his dogs in early March 2015, police had actually encountered the purportedly missing man — but both he and his mother gave false information to officers.

“During these contacts, fictitious names and date of births were given, misleading the officers,” Houston police Lt. Christopher Zamora told reporters Thursday.

“In fact, both Janie, Rudy’s mother, and Rudy himself gave fictitious names while interacting with various patrol officers.”

Farias, who was 17 at the time he “disappeared,” actually returned home March 8, 2015, one day after he was said to have gone missing, police said.

But his mother “continued to deceive police by remaining adamant that Rudy was still missing.

“She alleged her nephew was the person friends and family were seeing coming and going,” Zamora told.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has declined to charge Santana pending further investigation, citing a lack of probable cause so far, police and DA officials said.

Farias’ own relatives reportedly believed he was still missing despite his swift return.

Rudy Farias aunt told the media; “I’ve never seen Rudy since the day he went missing,” Farias’ aunt Sylvia Lopez, told KHOU 11.

Farias was found slumped over outside the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on June 29, 2023, after he reportedly fled his family’s home.

His mother lauded the discovery in a statement to media, writing: “We want to thank the media and public for all their support. My son Rudy Farias IV was found on Thursday, June 29, after being missing for eight years.”

Meanwile, Houston based activist Quanell X in a bombshell revelation now dubbed the Rudy Farias press conference revealed how he was abused, potentially s*xually, by his own mother when he was supposed to be missing.

Community activist Quanell X held an impromptu news conference with local reporters where he shared details of the alleged abuse Rudy Farias suffered at the hands of his mother, Janie Satana.

Quanell X said he met Farias on Wednesday after his mother, Janie Santana, asked him to come to a hotel in Humble where she and her son were meeting with investigators. At some point, Santana and Farias were separated and that’s when Farias allegedly told Quanell X and an investigator that he has been living with his mother this entire time.

Quanell X also said Farias told him and the investigator that his mom has been drugging and sexually abusing him.

Despite all these accusations reportedly made by Farias, Quanell X said he repeatedly told him he didn’t want his mother to get in trouble.

“He kept saying, I don’t want her to go to prison, I don’t want her to go to prison,” Quanell X said.

Quanell said Farias told him that he actually didn’t go missing, but instead, he ran away and came back home two days later. Quanell X said Santana then convinced him not to go to the police when he came back home.

“The things he told me, I broke down in tears,” Quanell X said. “She was giving him drugs. She was punishing him by locking him in a room over and over. She convinced him that law enforcement wanted to put him in jail, that law enforcement was looking for him because he ran away and that because he ran away, he was going to go to prison.”

“She would ask him to play daddy, she told him that he had to be the husband,” Quanell X said.

Family members of Rudy Farias including his aunt were at the hotel where Quanell spoke to the media and said they were shocked and hurt about what they’d heard.

“She hid from her family. That was wrong and awful,” one family member said. “Now what she did to him, that girl needs to go to jail.”

“I’m going to say I’m very worried about Rudy, very worried,” Rudy Farias aunt Pauline Sanchez Rodriguez said.

Sylvia Lopez, another one of Rudy Farias aunt, said she hasn’t seen him since the day he went missing and over the years, she’s even traveled out of state with Santana to help look for him.

“She had me out there in California thinking that they had found somebody that looked like Rudy in California,” Lopez said. “And I went all the way with her.”

Pauline Sanchez – Rudy Farias aunt

Pauline Sanchez, Rudy Farias aunt, says he no longer wants to see nor live with his mother.

Pauline Sanchez, Rudy Farias aunt said she saw her nephew for the first time in eight years Thursday night.

“I felt great presence. It was beautiful. We hugged until I finally let go. He’s a bit skinny,” she said outside of a friend’s house, where Farias plans to reside for a while. “He’s doing well but plans to stay away from his mother.”

Farias made national headlines over the weekend when it was reported he had been “located safe” at a church in Houston after a yearslong search.

Authorities said Thursday that Farias, who was reported missing in March 2015, had been living with his mother almost the whole time.

Some neighbors said Thursday they were stunned to learn Farias had been reported missing at all because they saw him often in the neighborhood.

However, other neighbors who live across the street say they hadn’t seen him at all since he was reported missing, which made the case even more complex.

Farias was reported missing March 7, 2015, but came home one day later, Houston police said Thursday.

He was found last week at a church, roughly 8 miles from his family’s home, according to an investigator with Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit search-and-rescue service that helped look for Farias.

He was nonverbal and unable to communicate, his mother, Janie Santana, said in a statement, adding that a good Samaritan discovered him and immediately called authorities.

Rudy Farias aunt said she didn’t ask her nephew about specifics regarding his missing persons case.

“His mentality, he needs to get well. He’s going to be cautious. I still feel that he’s traumatized and gone through a lot. I still feel action should be taken,” the aunt said. “He doesn’t want to see his mom and doesn’t want to go back to his mom.”

Rudy Farias aunt had a stark warning for Janie Santana, his mother.

“Janie, I know you’re listening to me. I’ll say it in a nice way because your day is coming. We’re almost there to get you.

“There’s nowhere you can run because I’m going to make sure that posters go all over.

“Don’t even attempt to get into an airport and go anywhere,” Sanchez-Rodriquez told The Post exclusively from her Houston home.

Santana was seen by neighbors fleeing her house in the middle of the night on Wednesday, following allegations she had been keeping Rudy locked up in her home.

Speaking to The Post Thursday, Sanchez-Rodriguez said her sister had “always been manipulative.”

“She’s had different husbands, different names,” she went on, at times fighting back tears.

“She’s a very greedy person. It’s all about money.”

“She’s always been after any way that she can get money. Anything that she has to do, she does it no matter who it hurts,” Rudy Farias aunt charged.

“And then she moves on to another one.”
