Authorities say they are looking for Iris Crum, who may be in the custody of Khaila Czereda, her non-custodial mother.

Crum stands at five feet tall, weighs approximately 80 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

She was last reported seen on March 1 near Blue Fox Trail in Murfreesboro.

Czereda is a 30-year-old Black female who is 5′6″ and weighs about 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

She is wanted by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for custodial interference.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Endangered Child Alert went off late Saturday with the post being shared on X (formerly Twitter).

“A #TNEndangeredChild Alert has been issued out of Rutherford Co for 7 y/o Iris Crum.

“Iris is a biracial female, 5’ tall, 80 lbs, w/black hair, brown eyes.

“She was last seen March 1st in the area of Blue Fox Trail in Murfreesboro.

“Call 615-904-3055 or 1-800- TBI-FIND.”

A follow-up post said: “Iris may be in the company of her non-custodial mother, Khaila Czereda.

“Czereda is a 30 y/o black female, 5’6”, 140 lbs, w/black hair, brown eyes.

Khaila Czereda is a 30-year-old black female wanted for the abduction of 7-year-old Iris Crum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation sent out an endangered child alert Saturday with information about Czereda.

“Czereda is a 30 y/o black female, 5’6”, 140 lbs, w/black hair, brown eyes. She is wanted by the Rutherford County Sheriff‘s Office for Custodial Interference,” the TNB said.

In recent days, several child abduction stories remain in the news.

Currently, there are two active AMBER alerts out for two children who are still yet to be found.

Sebastian Rogers, a 15-year-old from Hendersonville, Tennessee, has been missing for several days.

He was reported missing on Monday, February 26, 2024 and was last seen near Stafford Court in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Rogers stands at 5 feet, 5 inches and weighs 120 pounds with Dirty blond hair.

He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants at the time of his disappearance.

Agencies and search crews have covered thousands of miles in an effort to locate Sebastian.

They’ve used specialized technology and scent-trained dogs to navigate the rural terrain.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to review footage from their security and trail cameras, focusing on the time frame from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

Residents have been asked to check sheds, garages, under tarps, and dense brush for any signs of Sebastian.

Another missing child is Elijah Vue, who has been missing since February 20th in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Elijah was staying at his mother’s boyfriend’s home in Two Rivers, which is about 150 miles away from his home in Wisconsin Dells.

He had been sent there for “disciplinary reasons” when he went missing.

Police issued an appeal for help in finding Elijah, and an Amber Alert is also issued to the local community.

Elijah is described as around 3 feet tall, with brown eyes and hair. He was wearing grey sweatpants, a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt, and red-and-green dinosaur slip-on shoes. He may have been carrying a red-and-white plaid blanket.

Meanwhile, Jesse Vang has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and Katrina Baur was arrested on suspicion of being party to a crime of child neglect.

Search efforts continue across Two Rivers and Elijah’s hometown of Wisconsin Dells. Both Ms. Baur and Mr. Vang appear in court.

Two Rivers Police Department confirms they are searching a local landfill site as part of the investigation.

The FBI has offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to Elijah’s whereabouts.
