He often tackles celebrities and influencers when their issues pop up with scathing and often toxic commentary. Excel says what everyone wants to say but is afraid of and consequently receives lots of engagement on his posts.
Chris Excel has gone up against the biggest celebs in Mzansi including Bonang, Pearl Thusi, Cassper Nyovest and AKA. Most recently he got into a Twitter spat with One South Africa Movement leader Mmusi Maimane and even dragged US singer Ari Lennox over her comments about MacG.
He has even been accused of leading the social media onslaught which allegedly led veteran actor Patrick Shai to take his own life in January 2022.

“The damage he has caused to me & my family has been both humiliating and emotionally draining. Constantly having to validate my innocence & disassociation with the account.
“Before there was Chris Excel there was me. A person in the flesh with dreams, goals & a full life to live. It’s my turn to tell my story & in that hopefully bring awareness towards cyber bullying.
“I’d appreciate your support in anyway possible, thank you 🌸” she added.
On Twitter, the podcast clip took off with many people joining Bianca Coster to seek justice against Chris Excel.
“It’s about time Chris Excel pays for his sins, Bianca Coster’s life hasn’t been the same since that idiot used her images to run that account,” Khotsoe Dinto wrote.

As can be expected on Twitter, Excel also had his defenders.

Chris Excel, meanwhile, is clearly not bothered, as shown by his tweets on the issue.
