Our investigations show she was just as much a part of the business as Kurt, as shown when tax fraud charges were brought against her.

As a media report revealed: “Tax fraud charges against Gail Villani, the owner of seven Gui’s Lumber locations in Western New York, have been dismissed after an investigation by the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance found she did not owe the state money.

“Ms. Villani was charged last September, accused of owing the tax department $589,000 in state sales tax revenue for a four-year period.

“The three felony tax-fraud charges against Ms. Villani could have resulted in up to 15 years in prison had they not been dropped,”

Barry Covert, Ms. Villani’s attorney, was interviewed by the Buffalo News and WGRZ about the case.

WGRZ reports Mr. Covert saying, “To have this hanging over her head, felony charges, she had banking institutions that cutoff her line of credit, she had friends and family members that did not understand how she could be under felony criminal charges.”

Mr. Covert told the Buffalo News that an that independent audit—something the tax department never did until it was compelled—proved that not only did Gui’s Lumber pay its sales taxes in full, it actually overpaid.

He said a revised report issued by the tax department showed there was an overpayment of about $100,000 in a three-month period, meaning the total overpayment could be even more.

Now that the criminal charges have been dismissed, Mr. Covert told the Buffalo News, he intends to demand repayment of the overpaid taxes.

Asked by the Buffalo News how the state could have made such a large mistake, Mr. Covert responded, “I don’t know. It’s very difficult to really understand how they could have done that.

“It appears that they looked at the wrong books, or at least they interpreted the accounting books in the wrong manner,”

“In this removal action, plaintiff Gail A. Villani seeks money damages as a result of alleged fraudulent misrepresentations made in connection with the purchase of a boat manufactured by defendant Fountain Powerboats, Inc.” a report on the suit reveals.

Car Crash Rainbow bridge

The car crash on Rainbow Bridge that saw a Bentley with two occupants explode gained nationwide attention amidst fears it was a terror attack.

It was quickly clarified as nothing more than a couple involved – believed to be Kurt and Monica Villani.

The man believed to have been involved in the accident was Kurt P Villani, the 56-year old son of the late Kurt M Villani and his wife Gail.

Kurt P. Villani was born to his parents, Kurt M. Villani and Gail Villani in Grand Islands NY.

Kurt was married to his wife, Monica Villani, who is believed to have died in the car crash with him.

Investigators believe Villani had plans to attend a KISS concert in Canada with his wife, but after it was canceled he went to a casino in the US instead.

The crash occurred sometime after the couple left the casino, sources said.

Kurt was driving his $300,000 Bentley “extraordinarily high rate of speed” when it approached the border crossing around 11:30 a.m. and hit a barrier, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said.

The impact sent the car soaring several feet into the air before it came crashing down into a Customs and Border Protection booth and burst into flames, Hochul said.

The vehicle was “basically incinerated” and pieces of the wreck were scattered across more than a dozen checkpoint booths, the governor said.

“I want to be very, very clear to Americans and New Yorkers: At this time there is no indication of a terrorist attack,” New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said at a news conference Wednesday evening.

“Two individuals died in the vehicle,” Hochul said, noting the car is associated with a western New York resident who many have identified as Kurt Villani Grand Island NY.

Daily Mail reported later in the day that Kurt Villani Grand Island NY possibly suffered a medical emergency whilst behind the wheel of the car, leading to the crash.

“The 56-year-old [Kurt Villani] is thought to have suffered some kind of impairment before hitting a barricade at high speed and flying into the crossing,” the paper said.

Monica Villani Grand Island NY is believed to be the wife of Kurt Villani and died with him in the crash.

The couple were intending on driving to a KISS concert in Canada, CNN’s John Miller reported, which was later canceled due to a band member suffering from flu.

Miller said there was some speculation the driver, believed to be Kurt Villani from a well-known family in Grand Island NY had a medical issue.

The dramatic crash closed the Rainbow Bridge on the eve of Thanksgiving.

It also sparked fears it was a terrorist attack but the New York Governor allayed those fears.
