So what necessitated this Jacob Hahn obituary?

Jacob Hahn and his partner, Savannah, were killed by a speeding ‘drunk driver’ – later identified as Savannah Hammons – who slammed into their car on an Ohio road.

Jacob Hahn, 24, and Savannah Harding, 22, died in a three-car crash east of Stony Ridge, leaving behind their infant son, Beckett Wayne.

On December 9, 55-year-old Savannah Hammons was speeding down the Fremont Pike when she rear-ended the young couple’s car, causing it to spin into the eastbound lane where it was struck by another driver, MailOnline reports.

Hahn and Harding were pronounced dead at the scene.

Documents from the Perrysburg Municipal Court confirmed that Hammons was under the influence of alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.

According to NYPost, Jacob Hahn and Savannah Harding were driving westbound on Fremont Pike in Ohio when the alleged drunk driver, Savannah Hammons, rear-ended their vehicle, causing it to spin into oncoming traffic.

The force of impact from Hammon’s speeding Kia Soul caused the couple’s car to be fatally struck by an eastbound Dodge Journey.

The Elmore couple were engaged to be married next June.

Savannah Hammons, 55, from Toledo, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.

A judge set Hammons’ bond at $500,000.

Hammons’ charges are second-degree felonies in Ohio and carry a mandatory prison sentence of two to eight years, along with a lifetime license suspension if she’s found guilty.

The driver of the Dodge Journey was also taken in for minor injuries but was later released.

“My heart aches so much now that you are gone,” Harding’s sister, Brooklyn, wrote in a somber Facebook post, referring to the couple as the “sweetest souls.”

“Life is so unfair. All because of a drunk driver. Taking my only sister/sibling away from me.”

“You were one of my biggest role models growing up. You made me a first time aunt to little Beckett. I will always be there for him. We all will,” Brooklyn shared.

Brooke Johnson, Hahn’s cousin, wrote she’s “sad, but mostly angry” after news broke of her loved one and his fiancées were killed by the reckless drunk behind the wheel.

“Angry that an irresponsible and reckless woman took away the lives of two very young people who truly just started living theirs,” Johnson wrote in a Facebook post.

“My heart is completely broken for sweet Beckett, because he will never get to know how amazing his parents were, and how much they loved him!”

“The best call I ever got from him was when he facetimed me to tell me he was going to be a DAD! He flipped the camera to a sign that said they were expecting, and I yelled “Shut the f*** up!” And he just laughed, but I could tell he was scared to death, but so happy!”

Dale Marie, the photographer who planned to document their wedding, left a tribute on Facebook, writing: “The evening of December 9th, a future bride and groom, Savannah Harding and Jakob Hahn that booked me to capture their engagement and wedding day were victims to an unfortunate circumstance.

“A reckless driver who failed to consider how their irresponsible actions would affect so many people took two innocent lives while traveling on route 20. They leave behind a precious 9 month old son, Beckett,”

The photographer added: “I want to continue to honor her wishes as much as I can,”

On marshfuneralhomes, tons of tributes could be found.

“To the Hahn family, I so very sorry for your loss. My the lord give you peace in this great time of sorrow, my deepest sympathies,” Vic Klouse wrote.

Glen Colflesh: “I only met Jacob a few times on the job at RJ Corman. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and explain things even though I was from a different location. He suggested which team members I should follow and learn from. He had a kind spirit. I’m glad I had the opportunity to know him,”

Sarah Buehree: “Jacob – What a sweetie. I remember you so well from the preschool days. It was only a few months ago I was going through what I still had from those early days and I saw you dressed as a clown with your beautiful smile. I am so sad that someone robbed you of your time to nurture your child. I know your parents were wonderful with you and your brother and will give Beckett everything possible to succeed and keep him surrounded in your love. My condolences to all the family members,”
