Ervin Fejzic is a 37-year-old Bosnian-American male shot and killed outside his family-owned bakery in Gwinett County, Georgia.

Reports emerged Saturday, February 3rd 2024 that a 37-year-old man was pronounced dead following a shooting incident that occurred just before 7 a.m. at Fejzic Bakery, located at 259 Scenic Highway.

After Lawrenceville police received a 911 call early Saturday morning reporting a person being shot, police were dispatched to the scene.

They discovered an unconscious male in the parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics attempted to revive the man but were not successful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Whilst authorities are yet to formally identify the victim, the Fejzic family were well known for their bakery business and local media reports in their native Bosnia fingered Ervin Fejzic as the victim.

Fejzic has been described as a man who recently became a father and an ‘outstanding member of the community’.

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, before 7:00 a.m., Lawrenceville police officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting that had occurred at the Fezjic Euro Bakery on Scenic Hwy. S.

After officers arrived, they found Ervin Fejzic outside in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds.

The police officers tried to provide help, but the victim did not show signs of life and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives spent the day processing the crime scene, seeking witnesses, and reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to piece together the events that led to the tragedy.

Authorities have yet to release the identity of the victim, but local media reports in his homeland identified him as Ervin Fejzic.

The Bosnian website Crna-Hronika revealed that the Fejzic Euro Bosnian bakery is run by a mother, son and daughter from Doboj.

They identified the shooting victim as 37-year-old Ervin Fejzic, who was one of the three family members running the bakery.

Property records identify the other two owners as Almir and Hanifa Fejzic, presumably the mother and sister respectively who form the tripartite who ran the bakery.

WSBTV who spoke to neighbors in the vicinity reported people had nothing but good things to say about Ervin Fejzic.

“I’ve known the family for 20 years. You always ask yourself why bad things happen to good people and this is one of those instances. It came as a shock. The whole community is shocked,” Kenan Mustic said.

Property records indicate Ervin Fejzic lives with his family in Loganville, Georgia.

According to reports, the shooting occured when Fejzic’s two sisters were opening the bakery earlier today.

The suspect reportedly walked up to a man outside the Fejzic Euro Bakery parking lot.

That’s when an altercation took place between Ervin Fejzic, who had been well known in the community, and the alleged attacker.

During the argument that broke out between the suspect and the victim, things turned extremely heated leading to the suspect pulling out a weapon, firing and killing Fejzic on the scene.

The late Ervin Fejzic was by all accounts a stand-up member of his community and a recent father.

Police arrested a suspect for the murder of Ervin Fejzic, identified as Leroy Taylor, on Sunday.

38-year-old Leroy Taylor was charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon.

Taylor is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail, according to police. They add that no other suspects are believed to be involved.

“I drive an hour just for the food from this bakery. Everything is fresh and their borak is the best I have ever tried in America. Their bread is dairy free and healthy. They have delicious sweets too,” Mohammed S. of Ashburn Virginia wrote in a five-star review.

“I stopped here after reading the reviews and was pleasantly surprised how fresh the breads are here. During my visit I only picked up three things to give them a try. When I first walked in, the lady was out back baking, she came in and greeted me and asked what I would like. As she handed me the breads, they were still warm. How lovely is that? I can see why the locals love this place.

“This place reminds me of home. It is a very small store, but that is traditionally how these cute little bakeries are.

“There is nothing better than the taste of freshly baked breads. I’ll definitely stop here again and will add more to my review.

According to reports, a man was fatally shot outside a family-run business store in Lawrenceville Saturday morning.

Police reached the crime scene at Scenic Hwy. S outside the Fezjic Euro Bakery after the shooting incident.

Authorities revealed that two sisters were opening the bakery earlier today when the incident happened.

An altercation took place between Ervin Fejzic and his alleged attacker, with the reason for the argument being unknown.

The suspect reportedly walked up to a man outside the popular eatery’s parking lot and an altercation ensued which escalated to a shooting.

According to a news report by WSBTIV, an argument broke out between the suspect and the victim.

Following this, the heated argument turned violent when the suspect shot and killed the victim.

Police later said that they had leads on a possible suspect.

Initial reports which have now been retracted suggested that a woman who went to her car leaving the other sister at the store was shot.

She allegedly had forgotten something in the car, based on the erroneous local media reports.

However, this version of the shooting has now been found to be untrue.

Authorities continue to investigate.
