Christian Klesper, who went by the stage name Christian Oliver, was a German actor based in America who was a popular Hollywood star.
Christian Klesperr was raised in a Berlin suburb and had dreams of following his father into a career in banking until he ‘fell in love with the American way of life’ while in North Carolina.
That love affair began when he did a year as an exchange student in North Carolina when he was 16.
At the age of 21, he moved to the US and quickly was cast in a jeans commercial and a toothpaste ad prior to landing a starring role on Saved by the Bell.

Oliver is set to appear in the upcoming movie Forever Hold Your Peace, which he also produced, and just filmed his last scenes on December 20.

The plane crash in Bequia saw their single engine plane plunge into the water off the tiny Island in the Caribbean.
Police said he single-engine plane had just taken off from Becquia, a tiny island popular with tourists and part of the Caribbean nation of St.spe Vincent and Grenadines, after midday Thursday, bound for the island nation of St. Lucia 65 miles to the north.
However, something apparently went wrong and the plane plunged into the waters.
Local fishermen and divers rushed to the scene before the Coast Guard recovered four bodies, which were then pronounced dead.
The bodies were taken to a mortuary on St. Vincent where post-mortems will officially determine the cause of death.
The police force said it “expresses condolences to all who are negatively affected by this tragic incident.”
Christian Klesperr had credits such as “Speed Racer,” “The Good German” and “Valkyrie,” to his name.
At the start of his career, he played a detective in the long-running German TV drama “Alarm für Cobra 11” about a team of highway cops.
He has a long list of TV and film credits, including “Saved By the Bell: The New Class.”
According to Deadline Hollywood, Christian Klesper worked with Steven Soderbergh in The Good German opposite Cate Blanchett and George Clooney, with Brian Singer and Tom Cruise in Valkyrie and the Wachowski Brothers in 2008’s Speed Racer.
His most recent film role was in the latest Indiana Jones movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
He also starred as a detective in the popular German action series Alarm for Cobra 11 (RTL) for two years.
His TV credits also included Saved By the Bell: The New Class.
The director of his latest movie, Nick Lyon, paid tribute to Oliver, posting a picture on their last day of filming saying: “We talked about producing a film together for years and finally did it! Thank you for being a great colleague, actor and friend,”
His co-star, Bai Ling, was also among the first to mourn Oliver on social media, saying that she wrote the post ‘with tears in [her] eyes.’
“It was our first and last film together, I loved working with him so much,”
“He was so nice, works so hard and such a brave actor and a beautiful gentle person, we played lovers in this film, just so so so sad,’ she wrote.

According to local reports, Christian Klesper arrived with his daughters in the Caribbean on December 26.
Two days before his death, Oliver posted a photo showing a beach in a tropical setting with the caption: ‘Let love rule. Wishing all of you the best for 2024.’
According to authorities, the single-engine plane took off from F Mitchell Airport in Becquia, a tiny island and part of the Caribbean nations of St. Vincent and Grenadines Thursday afternoon and was headed to nearby St Lucia when it crashed.
Shortly after take-off, the aircraft experienced difficulties and nose-dived into the ocean,” the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said in a statement provided to media outlets.
“Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm went to the scene of the incident in their boats to render assistance,” it added. All four bodies have been recovered.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. According to local reports, the pilot radioed the tower shortly after takeoff reporting he was experiencing trouble and was turning back. That was the last communication from the plane.

In one video of the tragic crash, a person recording can be heard saying: ‘The plane crashed! Call the Coast Guard!’
In an interview with local media outlet iWitness News, a local fisherman criticized the coast guard’s response to the tragedy.
“We explained to them that the tide was now starting to run so if you left it (the wreckage) there, it was a (possibility) that we wouldn’t find the plane again, that it would drift off,’ he said.
He added that the tide’s trajectory would have taken the plane to open water. Using ropes and a buoy to mark the location, the fishermen took the decision to retrieve the bodies themselves.

Christian Klesper married Jessica Muroz, who previously worked as an LA-based showbiz reporter for German media.
Online records show that the actor filed for divorce from his wife in December 2021.
The couple had two children – Madita Klepser, 10, and Annik Klepser, 12.
Both children were with their father when his plane crashed, meaning both died alongside him.
A few days after the deaths, Jessica reacted in a statement shared on social media.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane accident on January 4, 2024, which took the lives of our beloved family members,” said a statement posted on the Instagram account of Wundabar Pilates, where Jessica Klepser works as a regional manager in California. #
“Our daughters, Madita (12), and Annik (10), along with their father Christian, were returning from a holiday in the Caribbean when the single-engine plane they were traveling in experienced engine trouble and fell into the ocean.”

“The deep bond, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit shared by Madita and Annik will be profoundly missed in their communities,”
The statement from Christian Klesper’s wife was signed by Amy Jordan, the owner of Wundabar Pilates.

According to his LinkedIn page, Sachs operated a diving business in Bequia alongside his wife, Cathy.
He was a native of Springfield, New Jersey, who had been living in the Caribbean for close to 40 years.
Cornell Campbell, who witnessed the crash, told iWitness that the plane drew is attention because of the ‘sound of the plane, the engine, the propeller.
“Everything shut off the first time. So, I told my friend, “That plane is going to crash.” But the plane kicked up back again like it built up back a power,” he said.
However, it lost power once more.
“But when it was sinking, something went “Bouff!” in the water and that is why I said it exploded. So that is the only thing I heard when the plane was sinking. It went “Bouff!” under the water,’ Campbell said.
The cause of the plane crash remains under investigation.
Bequia
Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines at 7 square miles (18 km2).
It is part of the country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and is approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the nation’s capital, Kingstown, on the main island, Saint Vincent.
Bequia means “island of the clouds” in the ancient Arawak.
The island’s name was also ‘Becouya’ as part of the Grenadines.
Bequia has a history of whaling which was introduced by the Yankee whalers in the 19th century.
