Brooke Gomez was an American interior designer who was famous for working with Bethenny Frankel – below is her wiki.

Gomez was born to her mother, famed interior designer Mariette Hines Gomez and her father, an architect some nearly five decades ago.

Brooke was 49 years old when she was found dead in her apartment in New York‘s Upper East side.

The young Brooke Gomez started her education at a New York private school and then proceeded to Brown University for a political science degree.

Brooke Gomez grew up surrounded by art due to her mother’s passions and she naturally built an affinity for it herself.

“Growing up, my brother and I were constantly surrounded by art and art appreciation,” Gomez said.

“And like my mother, I consider the art selection process and integral and essential aspect of design.”

Gomez also attended Oxford University – twice – and would often visit London due to her love for England, which she again shares with her mother due to their mutual appreciation of the country’s architecture, design and culture.

Whilst in law school, Brooke Gomez dropped out to enter her mother’s business after an opening came up- joining Gomez Associates in 2001.

“Someone left really suddenly, so I decided to help out in the interim,” Gomez said.

“But I really just loved it. I loved the right brain/left brain contrast of creating a contract and then getting to do something creative.

“Interior design is very creative and very cerebral. And that’s the juxtaposition I was looking for,” she added.

Throughout their partnership, she has collaborated with her mother on two Kips Bay Show houses, produced her mother’s first book in addition to running several design projects under her mother’s tutelage.

Brooke’s projects have included several New York apartments and townhouses, residences in Connecticut, Chicago, DC, Pennsylvania and Maryland as well as Beach Houses in the Hamptons, New Jersey, Palm Beach and Turks and Caicos.

Recently, she completed a project for Michael J. Fox and Sigourney Weaver as well as a total gut townhouse renovation in Greenwich Village.

As noted earlier in this Brooke Gomez wiki, she is also quite famous after having participated in Bravo’s second season of “Bethenny Ever After” designing Bethenny Frankel’s Tribeca loft.

Of her approach to design, Brooke said: “I certainly appreciate and welcome the Gomez approach to living, but I think as a representative of the next generation, I try to incorporate more 21st-century influences.

“But I always come back to the basics which my mother has taught me, fusing the old with the new, the traditional with the contemporary.

“There is no sense in re-inventing the wheel so I often joke to myself that my mother is always right. But a little splash of pink never hurts!”

Brooke Gomez also founded her own firm, Brooke Gomez Design, distinct from her mother’s Gomez Associates.

The firm was founded in 2019.

“We both felt comfortable with it. My mom has worked her b#tt off her entire life. She started this business a year after I was born and has grown it tremendously, but the business has changed so much,” she told Business of Home.

“I think it was time for both of us to have the next phase of our lives, and for her—as someone who invested all her time, energy and talent into this for 40-plus years—it was time for her to explore other interests,” she said.

Brooke also expressed excitement about getting to stretch her wings a bit aesthetically beyond her mom’s style.

“She’s notorious for having 800 shades of white. I tend to be willing to use a lot more color.

“I’ve learned from her exponentially, but I think she would admit that she’s learned from me as well, because we look at things differently,” she said.
