Arianna Davis, is an American dancing sensation from Indiana and one of three dancers suing Lizzo for s*xual harassment and weight shaming. She is 24 years old.

Arianna Davis has been grooving to beats since she was just two years old and her passion for dance has been unstoppable ever since.

The dancer is a proud graduate of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and is currently pursuing her dreams in Music Production at Full Sail University.

In an interview with IndyStar last April, Arianna Davis couldn’t stop gushing about her love for dance.

She said, “Dance is like a language for me, you know? When words fail, dance speaks volumes. It’s my way of expressing myself when nothing else seems to work.”

During the COVID pandemic, Arianna got creative and started sharing some awesome dance moves on TikTok with her talent catching the attention of none other than Lizzo!

When Lizzo put out a casting call, Arianna decided to post a dance clip, and it went crazy viral. Lizzo even dueted with her on TikTok, which was just amazing.

When Lizzo launched her reality show “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls,” Arianna Davis was one of the selected dancers and that landed her a spot on Lizzo’s tour. For her appearance on the show, she bagged an Emmy when it won the award for Outstanding Competition Program in 2022.

Arianna’s journey with Lizzo didn’t end with just the tour. She also got to perform alongside the Good As Hell singer at the 2023 Brit Awards in February. How cool is that?

In an interview last April, Arianna couldn’t contain her excitement about working with Lizzo. She called Lizzo her role model and praised her for being just as genuine and kind-hearted in real life as she is on social media.

Things turned sour later, leading Arianna Davis and two others to sue Lizzo – but we’ll get to that later.

As for her own goals, Arianna wants to be a trailblazer in the industry. She’s all about spreading joy and kindness, something she believes the world could use more of.

Arianna Davis is a dancer and choreographer who has worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Ciara during her career.

Arianna Davis recently worked with Lizzo and is one of three performers suing the rapper for s*xual harassment and weight shaming.

The three dancers – Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez –  accuse Lizzo and her dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, of making s*xually suggestive comments and gestures, touching the dancers without their consent, making disparaging remarks about the dancers’ weight and appearance and creating a hostile work environment that was hostile to people of color and people of faith.

Arianna Davis got her start in Lizzo’s crew after participating on ‘Watch Out for the Big Grrrls’, the dance competition show the singer hosts for Amazon, in 2021.

Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, according to Wikipedia, is an American reality television series in which 13 women compete to be dancers for singer Lizzo, who also hosts the show. It premiered on March 25, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.

In April 2023, the series was renewed for a second season. And at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, the series received six nominations and won three including one for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Competition Program.

Whilst the show has received mostly positive reviews, it appears behind the scenes Lizzo isn’t practising all that she preaches.

Three of her dancers including Arianna Davis have accused her of conduct which clearly goes against all she preaches for.

According to the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, Lizzo allegedly pressured one dancer to touch a n*de performer at a club in Amsterdam and subjected several dancers to an “excruciating” 12-hour audition after making false accusations that they drank while working.

Additionally, the suit alleges that Lizzo’s dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, pushed her Christian beliefs upon other performers and denigrated those who had premarital s*x, while also simulating oral s*x, sharing lewd sexual fantasies and discussing one performer’s virginity.

Lawyer for the plaintiffs, Ron Zambrano, names Lizzo, legal name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc and Quigley as defendants with claims including s*xual harassment, creation of a hostile work environment, false imprisonment and interference with prospective economic advantage.

“The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,” lawyer for Arianna Davis and her two co-plaintiffs said in a statement.

For Arianna Davis, she alleges that at an Amsterdam club earlier this year, Lizzo allegedly “began inviting cast members to take turns touching the n*de performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ v*ginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ v*ginas”,

Lizzo allegedly pressured Arianna Davis to touch the n*de breasts of one performer, and began goading her on when she refused.

When Davis eventually acquiesced, the group burst into laughter, the suit claims.

Lizzo then allegedly pressured a member of her security staff to get on stage and yelled “Take it off!”

“Plaintiffs were aghast with how little regard Lizzo showed for the bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed,” the suit says.

Arianna Davis also alleges that in April 2023, Lizzo questioned her “commitment”, which she felt was a thinly veiled criticism of her weight. Arianna Davis claims she was fired on the spot the following month when the singer learned she recorded performance notes, a decision Davis attributes to an eye condition that left her disoriented in stressful situations.

Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez

Crystal Williams (L) & Noelle Rodriguez (R)

Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez are two other dancers involved in the lawsuit against Lizzo for s*xual harrasment and fat shaming.

Williams, 26, is a native of Texas who like Arianna Davis, got her start on Lizzo’s reality show, Watch Out For The Big Grrrls,

Crystal Williams, who now lives in Los Angeles, studied Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University and graduated in 2020. While studying, she also pursued her passion for dance on the side, and joined a group on the campus that was called Fade to Black.

Shortly after she graduated, Crystal saw a casting call shared by Lizzo and decided to send in an online submission.

“I thought maybe this is a sign. I did my video submission and everything, I put together a little montage video,” she told her university in an article published earlier this year in February.

“My mass comm degree really popped out with that one because it was a nice audition video, I had two different slides going on while I was talking about myself.”

Once she was cast on the reality show, the star ended up not finishing the competition upon being hired to become one of Lizzo’s dancers ‘effective immediately.’

Meanwhile,25-year-old Noelle Rodriguez was hired after appearing in Lizzo’s music video for Rumors.

Aside from formerly dancing with Lizzo, Noelle has a number of past experiences up her sleeves, such as starring as a background dancer in a scene in the first season of Euphoria. She has also starred in a variety of advertisements from brands such as Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS and also GAP.

Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez filed a lawsuit filed on August 1st, 2023, alleging s*xual harassment, racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault, false imprisonment, and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.

The lawsuit claims that Lizzo and her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc., created a hostile work environment for the dancers, including pressuring them to touch n*de performers while at a club in Amsterdam, making comments about their weight and body shape and threatening to fire them if they spoke out about the alleged harassment.

The dancers are seeking damages for emotional distress, lost wages, and punitive damages.
