Nkem Owoh daughter, Kosisochukwu Nkem Owoh died in June 2023. She was 24-years-old.

The death of Kosisochukwu was announced by the Owoh family in announcing her funeral arrangements.

The announcement reads, “The family of Nkem Owoh (Osuofiasn) of Umunevo Owonta of Umungwu clan in Amagu village, Udi town, Udi local government, Enugu State regrets to announce the d£ath of our daughter. The deceased will be buried on August 24.”

So what happened to Nkem Owoh daughter? According to reports making the rounds, Nkem Owoh’s daughter who was 24-years-old died after battling liver cancer.

There are different types: hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or hepatoma, is the most common type of primary liver cancer and it starts in the main cell type in the liver.

The hepatocytes cholangiocarcinoma, or bile duct cancer, starts in the cells lining the bile ducts (which connect the liver to the bowel and gall bladder) angiosarcoma, which starts in the blood vessels.

Secondary cancer in the liver is cancer that started in another part of the body but has spread to the liver.

So who is Nkem Owoh? He is a Nigerian actor and comedian born on 7 February 1958.

In 2008, he won the African Movie Academy Award for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his role in the Nigerian film, “Stronger than Pain”.

Nkem Owoh was born in Enugu State, Nigeria. After his primary and secondary school, he headed to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and studied engineering. Already, during his university studies, Owoh began acting in various television and film productions.

He is also known for performing the song “I Go Chop Your Dollar” about advance fee fraud. The song was featured in the film The Master in which Owoh plays the role of a scammer.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission banned the song.

In 2007 Owoh was arrested in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Bijlmermeer neighborhood in the Amsterdam Zuidoost borough) as the result of a seven-month investigation by the Dutch police dubbed “Operation Apollo”.

Owoh was arrested while performing a musical show when the police raided the event and arrested 111 people on suspicion of lottery fraud and immigration violations.

Owoh was later released.

In November 2009 Owoh was kidnapped in eastern Nigeria. His kidnappers demanded a 15 million naira ransom.

Owoh was released after his family members allegedly paid a ransom fee of 1.4 million naira.

In August 2023, Nkem Owoh was sadly bereaved as his daughter of just 24-years died after a battle with liver cancer.
