Veteran Nollywood actress Maureen Okpoko has been spotted in a sad video crying out for assistance after suffering vision problems that’s making her blind.
Seasoned actress Maureen Okpoko in the video appealed to kind-hearted people for financial assistance due to her plight with her vision impairment.
The troubled movie star admitted she is blind and suggested that if she doesn’t receive immediate medical attention, the issue might eventually result in her going fully blind with no chance of ever being healed.
In a viral social media video, she pleaded with the public to donate money to help her regain her sight.
According to Okpoko, living with eyesight loss has been very difficult.
She nevertheless gave thanks to God for her life and pleaded for prayers from her followers.
“Living with vision loss has been challenging, but I’m grateful to God for the gift of life. I suddenly lost my sight, meaning I can no longer see or can’t see for now. I’m seeking your financial assistance. It would be greatly appreciated if you all could come to my aid. Also, I need your prayers and words of encouragement, it has not been an easy journey for me, but I’m grateful for the gift of life. Thank you all,” she cried.

Who Is Maureen Okpoko?
Maureen Okpoko is a Nigerian actress known for roles in movies such as such as Matured Games, Crazy Temper, Enemy of Light, the Duplex, Labour Room, and others.#
In 2016, she was nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
The 62-year-old appeared in the 2013 movie Golden Egg, which also featured Justus Esiri
In a 2015 interview, she revealed that Duplex was the most challenging role she has played. Speaking about what she can’t do in a film, she stated that she wouldn’t act n*de, mainly because she would not look nice unclothed.
On television, Okpoko appeared in Nigerian series such as Dear Mother, Clinic Matters, Neta, University Mafias, Sorrowful Child, Sacrifice the Baby, Red Scorpion, and Baby Oku.
In 2015, she acted alongside Majid Michel and Beverly Naya in The Madman I Love
Okpoko was also one of the cast members in Uche Jombo’s Good Home (2016), which featured Okey Uzoeshi and Seun Akindele. The film plot addressed human trafficking from the Nigerian perspective.
Maureen Okpoko is of Nigerian and Jamaican descent. She has three children.
