Pere Egbi is a Nigerian actor, model, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, real estate mogul and reality television star.
The multitalented Pere rose to fame as one of the contestants of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 6, tagged “Shine Ya Eye”.
He is also known for his roles in several Nollywood movies, such as Undercover, More Than Enough, and Charge and Bail.
Pere Egbi was born on June 27, 1985, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He is dark-skinned and hails from the Urhobo ethnic group. Pere is 38 years old.
The future reality tv star and actor was raised by a single mother along with his younger sister, Eilisheba, who is a digital content creator. He had his primary and secondary education in his hometown, Warri.
Pere’s big break came after he got the opportunity to travel abroad to study nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in the United States of America.

He also said he is an empath who hopes to use his painful experience to help others.
Pere was one of the two wild cards in the house, along with Maria. They were fake housemates who were supposed to be discovered and evicted by the real housemates. However, they managed to hide their identity and remain in the game.
The former U.S Army nurse was the third head of house in the show after winning the Week 3 Head of House games. Pere chose Maria, his love interest, as his deputy.
He also won the arena games twice and received some rewards.
Due to his duplicitous nature and antagonistic style of gameplay – including several high-profile fights with season favourite Whitemoney – Pere was nominated for eviction several times but survived until the grand finale.
Pere Egbi faced several controversies during his stay in the house, such as his clash with Whitemoney over a pillow, his altercation with Queen over a game, his heated argument with Angel over a task, his confrontation with Nini over a prank, and his revelation of his failed marriage.
In 2023, Pere Egbi returned as one of two dozen housemates for BBNaija: All Stars – the 8th season of the popular Nigerian reality television show.
As of the 5th week, Pere remains standing in the house and is having another strong season, similar to his 3rd place outing in BBNaija; Shine Ya Eye.
Pere Egbi Wife
Pere Egbi married his wife Pamela Hoema in the United States of America in 2009.
Pere revealed his wife divorced him in 2011 because she thought he was cheating with his female best friend who also happened to be his co-star on a movie.
He claims he never cheated but his ex-wife was convinced and nothing could change her mind.
“I got divorced to my ex-wife because she thought I was cheating on her with my best friend. I never cheated on her.
“Myself and best friend( A female) shot a lot of films in America, we’re always on a project together but found out we could not date each other. When I got married, I introduced my best friend to my wife but my ex-wife didn’t like her.
“One day, my wife followed me to a movie shoot where my best friend played my wife. While we were shooting, we kissed and this got my ex-wife angry. After this, our marriage became unstable, then I travelled for another shoot and came back to an empty house.
“My ex-wife had packed her things out of the house. “I went to her family house and begged her to stay but she filed for a divorce.” Pere sadly revealed.
Pere had no children from his marriage. His current relationship status is unknown as he gets linked to lots of ladies but with nothing concrete being revealed publicly.
As already mentioned, Pere had an interest in fellow housemate Maria Chike Agueze (Benjamin) during his time in BBNaija Season 6 but she rejected his advances and friend-zoned him.
Military Service
Pere spent six years in the United States Army as a nurse.
He joined the army after completing his degree in nursing at the University of Arlington, Texas.
