Christine Janicki of Grand Rapids, Michigan unexpectedly died alongside her son Xavier, according to her obituary from Mlive.

According to the obituary, Janicki and her little son, Xavier, both died on Tuesday, March 19th. She was 34.

Janicki was a married mother of three and leaves behind her husband, Dave and two kids Theo and Jackson.

Christine Janicki (née Yonker) was born on December 13th 1989 to Patricia Gulis-Yonker and Edward Yonkerin Grand Rapids, Mi.

She attended West Catholic High School and later Western Michigan University, where she studied for a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, graduating in 2012.

She later went back for a Coordinated Master’s Degree and Dietetics Praticum program, completing that in 2016.

Chris, as she was fondly known, held many positions including Nutrition Clinician at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapide between August 2012 and May 2013.

She was also the Clinical Dietitian at Metron Integrated Health Systems in Cedar Springs from May 2013 to September 2014 and Sales Associate / Retail Dietitian at Health Hutt in Grand Haven fron November 2015 to January 2017.

Her most recent role was as a Registered Dietitian with Armstrong Nutrition in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan.

It’s a position she held from March 2017 to July 2022, a staggering total of 5 years and 5 months.

Chris Janicki married the love of her life, David (Dave) Janicki six years ago and welcomed three beautiful children – Jackson (6), Theodore (3) and little Xavier.

Her husband, Dave, also was a graduate of Western Michigan where they met. He studied Engineering and was previously with the Nalco Company.

Unfortunately, Chris and little Xavier both passed in March 2024, leaving behind a devastated family.

Christine Marie Janicki (Yonker), born December 13th, 1989, tragically passed away on Tuesday, March 19th 2024, along with her baby boy, Xavier Ignatius.

Chris was the love of her husband, David’s life while they were married for over 6 breathtaking years.

Together they have two beautiful children, Jackson (6) and Theodore (3). Chris was the most deeply loving mother you could find, raising and guiding her children to be incredible young boys.

Chris was a bedrock and footing for conversations for life’s curveballs for her mother Patricia Gulis-Yonker, and a huge support for her sister Kimberly Yonker. Chris was a beloved daughter to Edwin Yonker.

Chris graduated from Western Michigan University in 2012 and worked as a Registered Dietitian helping care for those in long term care facilities.

She took such great joy in communicating with patients and understanding how she could help them.

After working for a while, she elected to stay home with her boys and give them the best upbringing possible, which she did with absolute flying colors.

There will be no way to replace the hole Chris left. Her presence was peaceful, her laugh was contagious, and her kindness was something admired by everyone.

Chris loved her family so very deeply, and the precious time spent will be remembered forever. There was no limit to the steps she would take to help those around her and her generosity was effortless.

Funeral services will take place at 11AM on Tuesday March 26th at St. Anthony of Padua, 2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

Her family will receive visitors Monday March 25, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW, and Tuesday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held Monday at 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an education fund for Jackson and Theo at ugift529.com using code E2C-U49.

All contributions made will be doubled by David to appropriately split between the boys.
