Tonto Dikeh Wigo Charity is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, actress and humanitarian.

The actress was born on 9th June 1985 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, although she hails from Ikwerre, Abio-Okpa, Rivers state.

Tonto grew up in a polygamous family as the third among seven children.

Her mother had five children whilst her stepmother had two children.

She tragically lost her mother at the very young age of three and was raised almost entirely by her stepmother, who loved her as her own.

Young Tonto had both primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt.

She gained admission to the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, graduating with a degree in Petrochemical Engineering. 

Tonto rose to prominence after starring in a movie titled Dirty Secrets which had some adult scenes.

The movie stirred huge controversy which propelled Tonto’s popularity, although she was heavily criticised.

Others sided with her and said she was just fulfilling her role in the movie.

Tonto ventured into music after becoming a household name through acting and released a few singles such as Hi and Itz Ova.
