A Nigerian man who was married with two children has been brutally murdered in Regents Park in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The deceased, who is yet to be identified, is reportedly a well-known trader around the Boulders Mall area in Johannesburg.
He was shot to death by unknown gunmen, the Facebook page Nigerians in South Africa reported on Saturday, January 28th 2023.
“Another Nigerian gunned down in Regents Park about an hour ago,” the post on Facebook read.
Despite the victim’s name being yet to be discovered, some social media users have given more details about his life.
One netizen claimed to know the deceased, revealing he is a trader who was married with two kids!
“This guy used to sell clothes and shoes around Boulders mall for more than 10 years now and married to a Congolese woman with two children.
“For those that stay around halfway Garden might once see him… very shocked to see this images.
“May the God of heaven welcome you brother and deal with those that are responsible of your sudden death. RIP,” the netizen wrote.
Regents Park, where the murder occurred, is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. The suburb is found north of The Hill. It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.
Sadly enough, that wasn’t the only murder of a Nigerian in South Africa Saturday as one had been murdered in cold blood earlier in Midrand Hyper, also in Johannesburg.
South Africans have had a negative history of unleashing violence on Nigerians and other Africans for reasons ranging from intimidation to drug dealings and job poaching.
