Idris Umar Usman, a Nigerian national living in South Africa, has been officially declared missing after going off the grid for over a month now.
44-year-old Idris Umar Usman has been officially declared missing in South Africa.
A statement from the Nigerian consulate in Johannesburg released on Tuesday, February 21st 2023, confirmed this news.
According to the Nigerian consulate, Usman has been missing since 26th January 2023, when he left his residence in a silver Proton-Savvy car.
He was wearing a brown t-shirt, black trousers and brown shoes when he left his family residence at about 2015 hours in a Silver Proton-Savvy car.
The consulate implores anyone with useful information on his whereabouts to please contact the Consulate General of Nigeria via the phone numbers or Email address on the missing person bulletin.
The disappearance of Idris Umar Usman comes after the murder of two Nigerians in South Africa a few weeks ago.
A Nigerian man who was married with two children was brutally murdered in Regents Park in Johannesburg, South Africa at the end of January.
He was shot to death by unknown gunmen, the Facebook page Nigerians in South Africa reported on Saturday, January 28th 2023.
Around the same time, another Nigerian had been murdered in cold blood in Midrand Hyper, also in Johannesburg.
