A Nigerian man, Ejiofor Smart, has been shot dead by police in Quezon City, Philippines during a drug sting.
Smart was part of a West African drug ring that was tracked down and raided by police the night of Sunday, February 27th 2021.
Police managed to confiscate about two kilos worth of drugs, valued at around 13.6million Philippine Pesos (115m Naira).
According to philstar.com, police officers of the Drug Enforcement Group went undercover and posed as buyers for the drug deal.

During the deal, Smart realised it was a sting operation and drew his weapon to shoot officers.
He was killed in the ensuing gun battle.
Two other members of the drug gang, identified by their aliases Bamba and Oga Boy, escaped the clutches of police.
A manhunt is currently underway to try and bring them to book.
According to police, the drug gang usually hid their drugs in boxes of powdered milk and assorted grocery items to avoid detection.
