Kevin Durant Traded To The Phoenix Suns

Kyrie Irving isn’t the only superstar getting shipped out of Brooklyn — the Nets just are now trading Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns in a blockbuster deal, according to multiple reports.

The shocking news just broke minutes ago … with Shams Charania reporting the Suns will send Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, four first-round picks and more draft compensation to the Nets in exchange for the 13-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion and T.J. Warren.

The deal comes just days after Kyrie Irving requested a trade of his own … which resulted in a transaction with the Dallas Mavericks.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Nets will receive the Suns’ unprotected picks in 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029. Woj also reports new Suns owner Mat Ishbia pushed to have the deal done Wednesday night.

This will be KD’s fourth franchise — after playing for the Sonics/Thunder, Warriors and Nets.

The Nets are now without their Big 3 of Durant, Irving and James Harden, who was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers last season. The trio played just 16 total games together before disbanding.

Kevin Wayne Durant born September 29, 1988), also known by his initials KD, is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He played one season of college basketball for the Texas Longhorns, and was selected as the second overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2007 NBA draft.

He played nine seasons with the franchise, which became the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008, before signing with the Golden State Warriors in 2016, winning consecutive NBA championships in 2017 and 2018.

After sustaining an Achilles injury in the 2019 finals, he joined the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent that summer.

He was traded to the Suns on February 9, 2023. Durant regarded as one of the greatest players and scorers of all time.
