Davido Breaks Down As He Reveals How He Handles Trauma of Son’s Death

Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about the pain of dealing with his son, Ifeanyi’s death.

Davido and his wife Chioma lost their baby Ifeanyi last year in a swimming pool accident.

Speaking about the death, Davido answered critics who think he’s not mourning his son enough in public.

According to him, he sheds tears every single morning over his lost son but knows he has to be strong for his wife, his family and even the world.

“I miss him every day, there are tears coming out of my eyes every morning, you don’t have to see it. I look at myself in the mirror and I said apart from it just being about me, I know how many people love me, I know how many people are depending on me. My son up there is looking down at me. Apart from me being strong for his mom, which is my primary responsibility, I have to be strong for the world.” he said

Davido added that he believes Ifeanyi and his own late mother, Mrs Veronica Adeleke are dancing to his songs in heaven.

Ifeanyi, Davido’s first son, died in October 2022 at age 3.
