The father of popular Big Brother Titans evicted housemate, Yemi Cregx has been discovered following the housemate confirming his death.
Yemi Cregx, real name Yemi Akin-Dada, revealed in a recent interview that his father died from throat cancer.
According to him, his father was a very strong and vibrant man and watching him shrivel up and die after being diagnosed with cancer was a traumatic experience.
“It was a traumatising experience because he was sick for about a year so imagine…he had cancer and he had to do chemotherapy and radiotherapy. After radiotherapy he was recovering…it was crazy like I literally saw my Dad…my Dad was a big man, tall and everything but you saw him go really tiny. It was a crazy time in our lives,” he told Hero Daniels.
Following revelations in the interview, one netizen chimed in to reveal she knew Yemi and his father.
She revealed Yemi’s father was (Waterman) Eng. Afolabi Akin-Dada Michael. According to her, he was a massive philanthropist who helped her out some years back.
“I didn’t even know Yemi was his son until a day after his eviction I went on Facebook after a long time and saw posts where his younger sister (my Facebook friend) campaigned for him. God bless you and your family. You will reap the good your Dad sowed on Earth before departing,” the netizen wrote.
“Wow finally found what killed (Waterman) Eng. Afolabi Akin-Dada Michael. That man was God sent to my family and other poor families around our neighborhood. He bought my first Laptop in 2012 when my school said lectures would be digitalized and my parents couldn’t afford a laptop,” she added in a later post.
BBTitans Yemi Cregx is a Nigerian reality television star, model, fashion designer, actor, event host, content developer and brand strategist.
Yemi rose to prominence in Nigeria and Africa after starring in the first season of Big Brother Titans.
He joined the show when it premiered on January 15th 2023.
Yemi is a creative person who has been invested in that field all his life. As a young man in college, he entered local male beauty contests and performed admirably. He also modelled and has gained a reputation as one of the most successful commercial models in Nigeria.
Yemi was the first ever Mr University of Africa. Aside from modelling, Yemi has been a fashion designer. He started designing clothes during his college years, designing the wardrobes of some celebrity acquaintances and fashion-forward classmates.
As a Big Brother Titans contestant, Yemi was evicted in Week 7 alongside his partner, South Africa’s Nelisa Msila, in the most shocking eviction of the season so far as Yemi had been considered a frontrunner for the show’s $100k prize money.
