A Nigerian woman in South Africa, Nnodu Amaka Chinenye, has been killed alongside her son after reportedly drinking poisoned drinks at an event.
The Nigerian woman died recently alongside her son on the same day and at the same time.
An obituary for 45-year-old Nnodu Nwamaka Chinenye and her 17-year-old son, Nnodu Victor Chukwudinma Chiemerie, popped up on social media.
The obituary revealed two funeral services will be held for the late Nigerian beauty and her teenage son – one in South Africa and another in Nigeria.
First, songs of Praise will be held for the duo at the Ferndale Recreational Centre on 38 Harley Street in Ferndale, Randburg, in South Africa’s Gauteng province on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Meanwhile, their remains will be laid to rest in Mbanakwu Okpuno, Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State on April 19th, 2023.
Their obituary read: “It is with deep sense of loss, but with total submission to the will of the Almighty God, the family of late Mr. Emeka Nnodu from Nnewichi, Nnewi North, LGA Anambra state regrets to announce the transition to eternal glory of mother and son,”
A second image read: “We the family of late Mr. Emeka Nnodu from Mbanakwu Okpuno, Nnewichi, Nnewi North, LGA Anambra state, wish to hereby announce the burial ceremony of our beloved wife & son.”
The Nigerian burial would consist of a Christian wake-keep at her husband’s compound in Mbanakwu Okpuno on 18th April 2023 followed by a burial and funeral ceremony on the 19th.
Events conclude with a church outing service at the Anglican Church of Transfiguration, also in Mbanakwu Okpuno Nnewichi-Nnewi.
The late Mrs Nnodu Amaka Chinenye was the widow of the late Nigerian Emeka Nnodu from Nnewichi. She is survived by two other children.

The netizen revealed they were poisoned whilst attending a function. They drank a smoothie together which turned out to be poisonous.
“Poisoned! They died after drinking smoothie together. The woman is a widow with 3 sons. The first son was outta the country at that time, the last son was busy playing game and refused to drink the smoothie. So she died with the second son. RIP AUNTY AMAKA….It hurts 💔” the netizen revealed.
