News on the horizon is that BB Naija Maria is currently being held in Ghana against her will.
Maria allegedly flouted some covid protocols at the airport upon arrival in Ghana, leading to her being detained.
It’s the same thing that happened to Bella Shmurda a few months ago.
That’s one side to the story – the other side is that Maria is in trouble because she’s refused to pay some bribes.
The blogger Remedy shared the news of Maria’s arrest.

He wrote: “Word on the street is that Maria BBNaija is currently being held against her will in Ghana for allegedly flouting their COVID-19 protocol,”
He added: “Another story says she has been tested negative for Covid but the officers there were looking for bribe which she refused to comply! Whatever maybe the case! I pray she finds favour,”
Maria also reacted to the news and expressed frustration over how she’s being treated.
She fired: “To say I am disappointed, upset, hurt and humiliated by the system is an understatement. Please don’t make me lose my cool. It won’t be pretty please,”
Whether she flouted protocols or refused to pay bribe, it’s clear something unpleasant is happening to Maria.
Nigerian actor turned social media blogger Uche Maduagwu has reacted to the news.
He claims Maria is being harrassed in Ghana because she refused to date the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Uche wrote: “OMG Ghana. This is so wrong. Is it because she allegedly refused to date your President? Let us pray for Maria,”
Uche Maduagwu often says the most ridiculous things so it’s hard to believe him however, it’s still a hilarious accusation he has put out there.
Let’s hope Maria’s case is swiftly solved so she will be freed.
