Who was Joshua Goldman? Glendale Man Shot and Killed by 14-year-old Teen Son

Joshua Lee Goldman was a 39-year-old Glendale, AZ man who was shot and killed by his own son following an argument.

Goldman was arguing with his 11-year-old daughter when her brother stepped in and shot their dad multiple times.

The teen shooter later went on the run but was captured 170 miles away in Kingman.

Following the shooting, he fled with a friend in a Toyota Camry.

Detectives were able to track the Camry, which was traveling toward Las Vegas. The Arizona Department of Public Safety was notified, and troopers spotted the car around 7 p.m. in Kingman.

A chase ensued, reaching speeds of 130 mph. A trooper eventually used a Grappler device to stop the car and both were taken into custody.

Investigators say the suspect was wearing an empty holster on his waistband and that a 9mm handgun was recovered from the floorboard.

The shooting happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday near 66th Avenue and Delmonico Lane, just south of Olive Avenue

Officers arrived to find Goldman inside the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital and died a short time later.

According to court documents, officers spoke with Goldman’s daughter, who said she was arguing with her father when her brother stepped in and shot him.

She said the shooting happened on the other side of her closed door, and she didn’t witness it.
