Who is Jason Stolworthy? Suspect Arrested in Cedar City Road Rage Shooting

A motorcycle rider, Jason Bryan Stolworthy, 46, has been arrested after shooting a driver in a road rage incident.

The confrontation began near the intersection of Main Street and Fiddlers Canyon Drive around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after a road incident between Stolworthy’s motorcycle and the driver of a car.

At this time, Stolworthy pulled out a handgun and shot the driver of the car.

Stolworthy fled the scene, but was soon found at a nearby residence and taken into custody, police said.

Arresting documents detail that officers found Stolworthy trying to load the motorcycle into the back of a truck.

The victim, who police have not identified at this time, was airlifted to the St. George Regional Hospital where h’s in critical condition.

Stolworthy is being held without bail in the Iron County Jail.

He’s been charged with felony discharge of a firearm resulting in serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony and aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony.
