Who is Andrew Rainey? Man Killed in Road Rage Incident in Lebanon

A 63-year-old man was shot and killed during a road rage incident in Lebanon, Ohio on Monday.

Lebanon Police were called about a reported shooting in the roadway near the intersection of North State Route 48 Bypass at U.S. Route 42 around 11:50 a.m Monday.

Police found a gunshot victim at the scene, identified as Andrew Rainey of Lebanon.

He was sent to the Atrium Medical Center where he died a few hours later.

Lebanon Police said one of the 911 callers identified himself as the person who fired a weapon and said he would be standing next to his vehicle with his firearm holstered waiting for the police to arrive.

When officers got to the scene, they found the shooter just as he had described.

He was arrested without incident.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell issued a statement on the shooting saying they are in the process of collecting all necessary evidence and information relating to the incident.

“Once the investigation is complete, our office will thoroughly review all evidence to determine what charges, if any, may be presented to the grand jury for consideration,” Fornshell said in a statement.

“Our office will have no further comment on this matter until the investigation is complete.”
