Big Brother Titans is the joint South African and Nigerian edition of the Big Brother franchise. The first season, subtitled Ziyakhala Wahala, kicked off in January 2023.

The series follows contestants as they live in an isolated house and compete for a cash prize at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by the viewers who vote on their favourite housemates to stay on the show.

The show features housemates from South Africa and Nigeria competing for $100,000.

Thabang Mazibuko is one of the housemates in the show. Originally from Soweto, he now lives and works in Johanessburg.

The budding reality star describes himself as big-voiced, charming, and level-headed. He is also in touch with his emotions but his drive and focus doesn’t diminish his love for fun. Additionally, Thabang says he loves learning about different cultures.

Thabang is an only child and was convinced to join Big Brother by his mother, believe it or not.

“My favourite type of music is Amapiano because it’s the best thing to come out of South Africa in a long time,” He named “Tobesta” by Ftears, Myztro, and ShaunMusiQ as his favourite song.

Thabang described himself as a team player. He said he was always with his friends and learned to function in a team.

“I’m the first Big Brother Titans winner because I come with what you don’t expect and I bring to the table something no one else can and as unique as I am I think people are going to love me,” the South African said.

Thabang says he is a calm person but has a ‘kick’ to him.

So far in the Big Brother Titans house (as of 2nd March 2023), Thabang remains in the show and is yet to be evicted. He has been paired with Nigerian housemate Nana Blessing Basheru in a pair called Thabana.
