Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu, has fired back at his wife, Stella, over accusations that he abused her and is cheating on her with his so-called daughter, Jasmine.
In an interview with Daddy Freeze, in which his son spoke for him, Mr Ibu replied to his wife’s accusations, claiming she’s a gold-digger who abandoned him when he was sick to live a life of partying.
According to the actor, whose mental faculties appear compromised due to his age and ill health, Jasmine is the one who took care of Mr Ibu when he fell sick.
The replies come after Mr Ibu’s second wife, Stella, blew the whistle on Jasmine late Friday.
According to her, Jasmine is not the actor’s daughter as she portrays but his lover who has taken over his social media accounts and finances by claiming to the public to be Mr Ibu’s daughter.
Speaking on behalf of his father during the live session, Mr Ibu’s son Daniel said, “She is his 100 per cent his daughter not biological but adopted right from childhood.
His son also stated that Jasmine took care of their father when Stella refused to stay with him in the hospital and paid N500,000 to retrieve and verify his father’s Instagram account.
“She (Jasmine) was in Cyprus then. When she heard the news, she came to Abuja to take care of my dad, paying the bills while he was in the hospital. Before, my daddy’s Instagram account was hacked, she was the one that paid N500k to get it.
“The account was not verified then and she was the one that got the account verified.”
Daniel added that when Mr Ibu was sick, Stella was not taking care of him and rather preferred to party.
“I can remember when he was in the hospital and doctor asked her ‘Is your husband taking the drugs?’ She said she doesn’t know. She left the man alone and went to a party.”
Daniel further debunked claims from Stella that Mr Ibu isn’t taking care of her, claiming the actor has bought her over 5 cars which she’s sold without giving him even a dime.
“Mr Ibu bought his wife 5 Cars and she sold everything. Mr Ibu’s wife is Jobless but yet she has 3 maids and has refused to go get a job,” he said.
“Jasmine is Mr Ibu’s stepdaughter and not a sidechick. She was the one who took care of Mr Ibu when he was sick while his wife went out for parties,”

Stella Maris Okafor, actor John Okafor’s wife, on Friday, February 3rd 2023, accused him of domestic violence, infidelity, memory loss, and others.
In a video shared by popular Instagram blogger, Gistlover, Stella revealed that Mr Ibu’s alleged daughter, Jasmine is plotting to dupe her husband because he’s suffering from dementia and as such can’t remember things.
She alleged that Jasmine is aware of Ibu’s memory loss which is why she is taking advantage of him and has been parading herself as his daughter when in reality she’s his sidechick.
Ibu’s wife revealed that her husband is from Enugu State, but his so-called alleged daughter is from Imo state and her real name is “Chioma Florence Okekeagukwu”.
According to her, Chioma changed her name to “Jasmine Okafor” after gaining her way into Ibu’s heart and manipulating him into neglecting his wife and his four children.
Stella claimed Jasmine is now Ibu’s manager and has been receiving all money allocated to him, stressing that she has to pass through the alleged daughter to get money from her husband.
She further revealed that Jasmine is currently on the verge of selling Ibu’s CBN estate in Abuja for N65million.
In videos shared by Gistlover, Mr Ibu could be seen angrily confronting Stella, while threatening to unleash his wrath on her if she doesn’t tell him the issue she has with Chioma Jasmine.
Another video shows Stella crying while stating that Ibu came from his girlfriend’s house to beat her up while spilling the wrongs the actor has meted out on her and her children.
Jasmine allegedly went as far as arresting Stella with police from the Ajiwe police station.
