Cassie, the singer and entertainer whose full name is Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs (also known as Diddy) accusing him of rape and abuse.
Here are the key details about the lawsuit and the subsequent settlement:
Cassie alleged that over the course of their relationship, Diddy assaulted her multiple times, including vicious beatings and r*pe.
She claimed that Diddy controlled every aspect of her life during their relationship.
The lawsuit also accused Diddy of using his powerful network to keep her trapped in a violent relationship with him.
Cassie faced what she described as a cycle of abuse, violence, and s*x trafficking until their relationship ended in 2018.

Diddy signed Cassie to his Bad Boy Records label with a 10-album deal.
They dated for more than a decade.
