The deceased was a Nigerian gospel musician and singer/songwriter by profession.

Osinachi hails from Imo State, Nigeria.

She was an Igbo.

Osinachi sang some of her songs in the Igbo language, making her very popular amongst that segment of the population.

Her songs also had cross-language appeal and were enjoyed by all Nigerians.

Nwachukwu rose to fame in 2017 with Ekwueme, a song she did with Prospa Ochimana.

She died on April 8th 2022 at a hospital in Abuja.

Friends narrated following Osinachi’s death that Peter was abusive and Osinachi did not want to leave the marriage because she believed he would change for the better.

“The man controls all her phone, social media and account numbers,” an inside source revealed.

“All bookings must be paid to him, he then gives her little to hold.

“Do you know for each of her children, once she’s pregnant, he will beat her and send her away?

“When she puts to bed, he would go and bring her back. He only allowed her to stay because he was using her to make money,” the source added.

Cause of Death

The singer allegedly died due to a cluster of blood in her chest after her husband kicked her.

Initial reports claimed she died of cancer but her family and friends refuted the claim.

Osinachi’s sister, Ms Favour Made, narrated how she died to The Vanguard.

“When the man kicked her on the chest, she fell down and he took her to the hospital but he did not even tell us,” Ms Made told Vanguard.

“It was her friend who lives in Ebonyi state that called her twin sister to ask, ‘did your sister tell you that Peter hit her on the chest? The sister then told her no.

“It was the hitting on the chest that killed her. My brother had to ask doctor what killed her and doctor said that there were clusters of blood on her chest,” she added.

Gospel singer Frank Edwards corroborated the allegations of abuse.

“One time in a studio, this man slapped her just because she wanted to record the song in Igbo against his will. She does not do anything on her own,” Edwards revealed on IG Live.
