The Sphere is a massive entertainment venue in Las Vegas, Nevada, a joint project between Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. and Sands Corp., the owner of the Venetian and Palazzo resorts.

The Sphere is designed to be a state-of-the-art spherical arena that can host concerts, shows, sports, and other events, with a capacity of 17,500 seats and features a 160,000-square-foot LED screen that wraps around the interior of the dome, as well as a high-tech sound system and immersive effects.

Maison DesChamps made worldwide news in February 2024 after climbing the Sphere for an attention-seeking stunt.

He climbed the Sphere in Las Vegas on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, just four days before the Super Bowl LVIII, which will be held in the city.

He did so without any ropes or harnesses and live-streamed his climb on his Instagram account.

He said he was attempting to raise money and awareness for a homeless and pregnant woman.

Maison DesChamps was arrested by the Las Vegas police after he reached the top of the building, and faces charges of trespassing and criminal nuisance.

DesChamps is a skilled rock climber who started climbing at the age of 16 and uses his climbing talent to raise awareness and money for the pro-life cause, especially for the nonprofit organization Let Them Live.

He has scaled several skyscrapers and tall structures across the U.S. and abroad, often without any safety equipment or permission.

Before climbing the Las Vegas Sphere, DesChamps had climbed blindings in Chicago and Phoenix, Arizona.

On October 10, 2023, Maison DesChamps climbed the Accenture Tower in Chicago, a 40-story building that houses the Israeli consulate.

He did so without any ropes or harnesses, and live-streamed his climb on his Instagram account.

He said he was attempting to raise money and awareness for a woman named Sierra, who felt pressured to get an abortion because of lack of financial resources and material support.

He claimed that his goal was to raise $27,000 for Sierra, on behalf of Let Them Live.

He was arrested by the Chicago police after he reached the top of the building, and faced misdemeanor charges of reckless conduct and criminal trespass to land.

On February 7, 2024, Maison DesChamps climbed the Chase Tower in Phoenix, Arizona, a 40-story building that is the tallest in the city.

He did so without any ropes or harnesses, and live-streamed his climb on his Instagram account.

He said he was attempting to raise money and awareness for the pro-life cause, especially in light of the recent Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that legalized abortion in the U.S. since 1973.

He did not specify a fundraising goal or a beneficiary for his climb, but he said he was trying to raise $1,000,000 to donate to pro-life charities.
