Korra Obidi Divorce – Singer Speaks for the First Time Since Husband Announced Divorce

Korra Obidi has spoken about her rumoured divorce for the first time since her husband, Dr James Dean, took to social media to announce it.

According to the Nigerian singer based in America, “it is what it is”.

Korra has essentially confirmed that the divorce is real and on its way to being finalised.

Nigerians were shocked when Dr Justin Dean, the singer’s American husband, announced on social media Wednesday night that their relationship is over.

According to him, the way she treats him is too much to handle hence he’s done with her.

He wrote “Korra Obidi and I are getting a divorce. It is over! I would not be treated this way any longer.

“[I] did my absolute best to make it work. I did not want this, I did my best, my heart is broken, I supported her, loved her and I don’t deserve the way I was treated,”

Many Nigerians refused to believe the news as real since the couple are well known for their social media antics.

Also, the so-called divorce was coming just about a week since the couple announced the birth of their second daughter!

Korra delivered a lovely baby girl on 1st March, 2022 and her husband was excited all over the gram revealing news of the birth.

It seemed crazy to think that a week later he would announce a divorce, claiming his wife mistreats him.

However, as Nigerians kept insisting it was a prank, Dr Dean came out to write: “Not a joke”.

Korra Reacts to Divorce

The singer has now finally reacted and given her thoughts on the alleged divorce.

She has essentially confirmed as she shared a post with the cryptic message: “It is what it is,”

Fans had hoped she would come out and say it was a prank but at this point we have to believe they’re finally splitting after 4 years of marriage.

As mentioned ealier, the singer/dancer and her husband welcomed a daughter one week before this divorce.

Korra delivered on 1st March 2022.

The couple already had a daughter, born on the 9th of July 2019.
