Who was Jamie Bukoski Felix?

Jamie Felix was a teacher and a mom of two from West Palm Beach, Florida.

According to reports, she and her ex-husband were involved in a divorce battle which unfortunately appears to have led to a horrible tragedy.

Felix and her ex-husband, Ray Felix, shared two children.

On Friday, posts started popping up on Facebook about a missing Jamie Bukoski Felix and her two kids.

One post from Robin Beth, who worked with Felix, said she was involved in a bitter divorce battle with her ex-husband who is believed to be involved in the disappearance.

Robin Beth wrote: “My friend Jamie Bukoski Felix and her youngest son Jason are missing! Last location at 5:30pm near Indian River Estates. Pictured is her soon to be ex husband as divorce proceedings are current.

“She sent a cryptic email that was completely out of character. PLEASE SHARE! Please be on the lookout. Police are involved. She is a devoted mom and a teacher at my school! If you have seen any of them this evening, please contact the police!!!!!”

Sadly, the search did not end with good news as it emerged later Friday that there had been a shooting involving the couple.

West Palm Beach police received a 911 call just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday about reports of a shooting at the back parking lot of the Quality Inn off Belvedere Road, west of Interstate 95 near the airport.

Police said it appears to have been a domestic dispute involving a couple and their two children from St. Lucie County.

When police arrived, they found a woman, believed to be 45 years old Jamie Felix, with an apparent gunshot wound, spokesman Mike Jachles said.

Officers attempted CPR but she was declared dead by paramedics.

Following the shooting, a 60-year-old man, believed to be her husband, had entered a car with two boys, their sons aged 10 and 17.

About a quarter mile away, officers found a car at a Hertz car rental that the suspect was driving.

Officers said the man had gone and returned the car. Then he walked off the property and shot himself in the head when officers approached him.

He was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for surgery and died before 10:30 p.m., Jachles said.

“What detectives believe is this was a domestic dispute that resulted in these two shootings a murder, attempted suicide,” Mike Jachles said.

“A couple with their relationship yet to be determined whether they were married estranged. Detectives have not released the status of their relationship,”

The boys gave statements at the police department.

Whilst authorities are officially yet to identify the couple, tributes on Facebook identify the deceased woman as Jamie Bukoski Felix.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Jamie Bukoski Felix. I have had so many people reach out and talk about how amazing you were as a mother and a friend,” Slcscanner wrote.

“NO NO NO NO MRS.FELIXXXXX Jamie Bukoski Felix you were my girlll🥺🥺🥺, i’m sorry you had to go through that. I’ll forever hold you in my hearttt, i’ll never let you be forgotten. Rest in peace my dearest angel 🥺” said Sanan Pryor.

Another post remembered the boys: “Please continue to pray for these boys…Our hearts are broken for them..Rip Jamie Bukoski Felix ..we love you…and we got your boys always,”

The Jamie Felix West Palm Beach murder suicide had been preceded by a similar tragedy in Miami-Dade.

Victor Penalba was a Hialeah, Florida man who murdered his wife, daughter, son and then himself.

Miami-Dade Police received a call requesting a welfare check on the family that lived in a unit at the Royalton on the Green Apartments at 17400 Northwest 68th Avenue.

Officers responded Sunday night and noticed a four odor coming from the apartment, officials said.

When they went inside the apartment, they found four people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victims were a 60-year-old man who appeared to have shot and killed his 50-year-old wife, their 18-year-old son and their 13-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself.

The family confirmed to NBC Miami that the perpetrator is known as Victor Penalba.

The wife was known as Yumara Martinez whilst the kids were Jason and Stephanie Penalba.

Victor Penalba worked for the sanitation department in Hialeah but lost his job a few weeks ago.

Family members said the couple has been together for 20 years on and off but were not legally married.
